I like knives, and I have a few. Also have some guns, watches and opals. Just pulled the trigger on a new flipper blade, most expensive one I've bought yet. Whatever it is that you collect, is there a price point you won't exceed? Just curious.
Guns. To date, the most I've spent on a single firearm was $1000, which was my 4" Chiappa Rhino + leather shoulder holster + speed loaders. Its my carry rig. Chiappa has since come out with a 3" in stainless steel, and I'm having a real hard time not buying it... I have a knife collection as well, but I think my collection is complete as I havn't bought any in nearly a decade. I guess I also collect axes. But my fav of my collection is still the one I made when I was a teenager. The blade I cut out of a used table saw blade.
I have a small collection of Dom Pérignon bottles from some of my most memorable dates. They go like this Jenn Jenn Jasmine Justice Justice Tess and Savanah Lizzy The most expensive bottle was about $400. It was a rose The date with Tess and Savanah was one of the best nights of my life. Every night with Jenn was one of the best nights of my life.
Currently? Old paper currency and by "old" I mean the ones from like the 90's and earlier. I have a 2$, 5$ 10$ 20$ and finally a 100$ bill from 1990 I'm only missing a 50$ bill. I'll buy the next one from the till, at work. I know, not worth more than face value....but....any of it is being removed from circulation and becoming rare by the day. No longer printed. My 100$... Were not they prettier?
I collect guns… The most expensive one being 17k at the time of purchase. A true collector gives two hoots about price. I love my guns
Lime-Crusty Civil War .78 bullets. And the big round ones, too. All the conicals are 3-ringers, and the ball ones are big. Have a couple mason jars full.
LOL, I've been writing about it here for almost 5 years http://www.politicalforum.com/index.php?threads/my-second-life-and-other-secrets.485891/ I'm sitting here looking at them. I even keep the cork and plug it before the residue can evaporate. I've been able to still smell the Champaign 2 and maybe even 3 years later.
Does it require a class III license? My cousin had a $48k gun that requires a class III license. He brought it home from the war.
Plants I guess. I always like adding something different to the landscape. I used to collect stamps as a kid but stamps really aren't a common thing any more unless you just buy them new. Buying a sheet of stamps just doesn't have the same fun factor of discovering a stamp you don't have on an old letter in Grandma's drawer. I used to unwillingly collect chess sets but I gave all of them except one away to a church yardsale. Now mind you, I never set about collecting them. I just liked chess. People just assumed I wanted them and suddenly I had chess boards coming out my ears as gifts. I usually keep bicentennial quarters and wheat pennies if I get one but I wouldn't call that collecting. I just toss them in the bins with all the others. Just something I picked up from my grandfather as I would give them to him before he died, but just keep doing it now for whatever reason.
Cherishing special evenings? Okay. I thought maybe you were sincere but obviously not. Have you lost your sex drive? What causes the jealousy?
Every $100 bill I collect these days is one my ex will never touch. I love that! LOL! Am I a bad man?
After re-reading my post I realize it sounds awfully judgy without any emogi's. No judgement here, and I am decidedly sincere. You collect what you collect.
Do bricks of Mini-Mags count? Or boxes of Stingers? Yeah, ever since Obama, I'm not getting caught slipping again. I'll share with my friends. The same friends who we were always trying to hustle up bullets when Obama was pres. Every day, because that's what you had to do to have some, and that's not right.
I think I have one of those, I forgot I have a small collection of silver and old coins. Will have to go look.
