Two recent reports one by the Institute of Supply Management reporting that it's gauge of manufacturing activity fell from 52.8 to 52.1 in May,it's slowest pace since 2016.They are blaming the TARIFFS for raising costs at a time when global growth was already slowing.
Today we have the New York Times reporting that manufacturing in three key states, in giving Dirty Donald his electoral college victory, have seen manufacturing job declines between January 2017 and December 2018 due to slowing manufacturing activity. The declines are all occurring in counties which voted for Dirty Donald in 2016.It also should be noted that U.S.Steels stock price has fallen dramatically along with steel sales, both foreign and domestic.

Manufacturing is up from Obama's terms.

All good things are up and all bad things (food stamps, unemployment, etc.) are down.

You know how your side doesn't like to give Trump credit for the economy because he supposedly inherited it?
He also inherited a country ruined by mass outsourcing and super high business taxes that drove plants to other countries.
    TWO SIDES TO EVERY COIN!

The three states which have seen significant manufacturing job losses since Dirty Donald has been in office are Michigan,Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.

The only rust belt state Trump has any hold on is Ohio and Indiana.
They figured out he's full of it.
I don't know what's wrong with Ohio. Maybe they are still holding on to their houses thinking Trump is bringing back the car companies after killing the low margin cars with steel tariffs that he then flopped on. Even I could make a campaign add for that one.

It appears Foxconn slipped in an extra zero when they were talking about their Wisconsin plant.
Of course if Trump really followed thru on his tariff threat the whole thing would go down the tubes with Apple.

    Oh, that's crap.

We demanded that employers pay workers high wages.
We demanded that employers provide expensive benefits.
We placed onerous workplace safety and health regulations on them.
We attacked them with expensive environmental regulations.

Then, we chose to buy cheaper products produced by countries not burdened by those costs.

    Don't be full of crap!

As I said CAPITALIST greed drove our jobs offshore many years ago..What you think ONLY CEO's and Executives deserve livable wages and benefits while they breathe clean air and drink lead free water??The cost of products NEVER WENT DOWN even after they switched to cheap labor sources.

You are one of the few people I have ever encountered that actually rejoice when there is a slowing of the tremendous growth since the Trump inauguration. You must have been very unhappy for the vast majority of time President Trump has been in office.

Looks like President Trump was able to use that magic wand Obama couldn't find. The "new normal" only lasted the Obama admin
