Do NDE accounts fit with my understanding of scriptures?

  1. Yes...... but I did go through cognitive dissonance to understand this!

Or.... could it be that humans have something that could be termed an
"over soul" that reincarnates........... Could that over soul be like our hard drive.....
whereas the individual identity, personality and memories of one person..... could be
more like one program..... within the much larger over soul????

In practical terms I believe that if I were to die this week.... I could meet with Miss Anne Frank in
heaven / paradise while Ms. Barbro Karlen.... is still here on earth..........
I do believe that Ms. Barbro Karlen is indeed probably the reincarnation of Miss Anne Frank.

Sorry, but it just always ends up as nonsense. As a child I read many books on demons, spirits, reincarnation, etc, etc and figured out that there has never, repeat never, been any scientific verification.
Doesn't mean it is impossible but charlatans abound and proof is unavailable.

Why waste time praying for the dead? According to the fairy tales the good ones go to heaven, paradise, the happy hunting grounds, Valhalla, or some other good place. The bad ones go to hell or to the lake of fire. How can a belated prayer change the outcome?

It doesnt matter whether or not God knows if you will end up in heaven or hell because YOU dont know and are still free to choose. He simply knows what choices you make in the future.

If there is a 'spiritual world' then it is called that because it is not the physical world. Whether its a mirror plane, a parelel dimention or just one of the infinite multiverses... theres no telling. Whats certain is that it cannot be measured and quantified by our scientific method, thus it cannot be proven (or disproven). Spirituality, the dual nature of our mind vs our soul, the afterlife... its all conjecture until we experience it. Saying 'its bunk!' is just as rediculous as saying 'its real!'. What it *is* is anyones guess and up to each individual to believe as they see fit (or not at all).

It truly confuzzles me how and why anyone tries to argue about it. Discuss the possibilities, sure, but theres no 'right' answer at this point.

    Some people see Angels.

    You obviously have not.

Some people are visited by the departed dead.

    You obviously have not.

    Some people see God.

    You obviously have not.

Apparently Angels, spirits, and God do not give a ratz azz about you.

    Oh well.

    So speak for yourself.

This is a Catholic doctrine invented by the Popes.

    It crept in.

    Sorry.

Well technically speaking, I was dead and gone.

But They told me They were going to send me back because the accident should not have happened and therefore I should not have been killed.

Then They gave me 5 special commandments just for me never to break.

And one of them was not to go out and do stuff on Sundays.

I was killed on a Sunday and returned to life back on Tuesday.

Stay home on Sundays and read the Bible.

St. Peter changed the Holy Day for Christians from the Jewish Friday-Saturday to the Catholic Saturday-Sunday.

Was in a coma for 2 days.

Nurse said they did not expect me to make it back.

    See my post supra, please.

Just remember that your experiences are not the same as others.

So don't get so dogmatic about it.

Has nothing to do with "believing".

It is all about whether you have experienced anything or not.

Sophomoric neophytes have experienced nothing yet they presume to be God's gift to brilliance.

    Yet they are totally ignorant.

This is a fallacy of argument from ignorance.

    FYI.

    You haven't experienced jack sh!t.

The only logical explanation is that the Angels, spirits, and God do not give a rats azz about you.

    I already pointed that out.

Someday some spirit or Angel or even God may surprise the sh!t out of you.

Until then you should probably stay out of the thread, correct.

In the meantime I am putting you on my iggy for spamming and trolling.

    Goodbye forever.

I read two books by psychologist and hypnotherapist Helen Wambach Ph. D. back in the
    1990's.

She found that roughly ninety percent of volunteers could be hypnotized and receive impressions of
what they thought were "past lives."

The statistics for their perceptions were quite astonishing.

One of the most impressive parts of her research is that in her second book..... which dealt
with what people perceived BETWEEN their death in one past life.... and their rebirth in another
later lifetime....... these volunteers perfectly described the typical near death experience twenty five years before Oprah
and Dr. Raymond Moody made NDE's part of our culture.

Dr. Wambach conducted her first study in 1965.

    Here is a summary:
