What did I do, you ask? Well I got on my computer and started a search for a guy I met in Navy boot camp 61 years ago. I had not heard from him since boot camp but remembered he had an uncommon name and lived in a little town in my home state. Don't ask me why his name popped into my head. I was setting at my PC and was bored so I had a thought to see if I could find this individual. After several searches I located that name in the town but had to keep digging for a phone number. I finally got a phone number and it listed the guy's approximately age that would match his age. I decided to give it a ring. The call went off like it was on a script. It was him and he remembered me. His memory was very sharp and we both brought up individuals' names and situations from our Navy boot camp days. I guess we spoke for almost 2 hours and before we hung up I thanked him for his service to country and he did the same. Made my Memorial Day.
