I'm a patriot, and so are they (The French) still... What if UK & France become 1 country? UK & France, would be French speaking & English speaking and we both have nuclear weapons and demographics like one another... The French could use Francs if they want and their capital will be Paris and The British could use Pounds and their capital/our capital (in Britain) would be London. ? 1 country, 2 sates, 2 capitals, and a mishmash of Anglo-Franco intermixing to federalise the two, with buildings and links being mixed in between the two London & Paris. We could make states only stronger because they both used to be countries & empires, marrying 2 motherlands together as it were. Probably work on Concorde again lol, j/k, but, yeah.
The French-British Confederation MIGHT work. Wouldn't be nice for Germany, or any other European state though. Britain and France has a Russia-level history of meddling in their sphere of influence. But the French-British Federation would crash and burn.
