How does this change Trump negotiating our withdraw, freeing thousands of Taliban, and freely admitting he knew that use leaving would mean that the Afghan government would fall?

Just so you're aware, I'm no lefty. I don't like Trump, i think Biden is an incompetent, Obama and Bill clinton were dishonest and Bush II was stupid. We haven't had a decent POTUS since Bush I and Reagan was our last truly great one.

It seems like pretty deep cover to blow on a scam, especially one that depended on timing and a particular set of circumstances.

Occam's Razor says the simplest solution is the most likely. A conspiracy such as the one you would have us believe happened here has too many moving parts and unlikely coincidences to be believable. It also begs the question of who profited? What would Biden gain with such a massive effort? It would have to be something bigger than discrediting a POTUS who was already on his way out. Your theory is wildly implausible. Can you back it up with some kind of reputable source?

 

Mr. Trump held a rally at noon at which he encouraged the demonstrators (they were still demonstrators at that point) to march to the Capitol. At 12:53 P.M. the rioters (at this point they became rioters) overwhelmed the police line on the West side of the Capitol. By 1:03 they overran three layers of barricades and forced the cops to the bottom of the West side steps. It really looks to me like what happened was Trump's fault, maybe even his idea. I hate to think that he would be so reckless as to risk other people's lives in that way, but there it is.

 

CONSPIRACIES are NOT "issues", they are just bovine excrement that needs to be FLUSHED into the SEWER where it belongs.

When you add the emotive rabble rousing tone intended to inflame the senses of a crowd already angry because they have been told endless lies that something was "stolen" from them it is little wonder that they turned in a violent mob.

 

The Jan 6 committee results should prove very interesting. The files that Trump is fighting to keep out of their hands and out of public knowledge should shed some light on Trump's involvement in it all and his attitude toward the violence before, during and after.

 

Since the GOP Senate ABDICATED their duty to We the People the court of public opinion will finally get to hear the evidence and be able to judge for themselves.

I am expecting that there is going to be some things that are revealed that will leave the GOP wishing that they had retained control of what was happening in a Senate impeachment trial.

Now they are just going to have to suck it up and deal with the consequences. I expect to see weasels like Lindsay Graham backpedaling away from his biggest *LOSER* as fast as he can.

 

Over the years I have learned not to underestimate the ignorance of the extreme far right and have come to understand that many confuse their traitorous ways for patriotism, thus a cannot put the % as zero.

Pence had no authority to install Trump. Pence could tabulate votes and if the congress approved, send the matter back to states to make decisions.

I warn others when I hear of such clowns.

Trump decided to be involved. As to the day to day operations, what I learned was others ran it day to day.
Trump made a mistake. Trump also paid from his own pocket restitution.
That was the extent of what Trump was asked to do by a court. And he did take care of it.
