Why are the people that call a mob, a mob, being portrayed as the bad guys? If I call a sunrise, a sunrise, am I some kind of degenerate?
You mean the Tiki Torch Terrorists? Deffo a mob. Albeit of fine people, according to some bloated shithole.
People that try to focus on the mob definition are only attempting to change the argument that dems have become irreparably unruly, beyond even the dem party's ability to control as they destroy the dem party themselves, in the eyes of the American people. Steve
Right on. But one clarification: the Democrat party leaders are not trying to control mob action; they are encouraging and supporting it. Including none other than a two-time presidential candidate, a former Secretary of State, a former Senator, and a former first lady -- ole Hillary herself.
Tea Parties = "dangerous mobs", "terrorists", "hostage takers" Antifa/BLM harassers, intimidators, rioters, vandals, arsonists, felony assaulters = "righteous indignation", "peaceful protestors"
They just haven't figured out yet that it's destroying the dem party. Even after they lose the 2018 election, they will likely deny that it has destroyed the dem party. Steve
The worst mobs are on Twitter -- the very format encourages them. Most mobs are Liberal. If a Conservative or non-Liberal mob appears, multiple bans of participants follow.
mob - a large crowd of people, especially one that is disorderly and intent on causing trouble or violence.
Allow me to enlighten you from your political biases. Kavanaugh was angry because his life had been destroyed without evidence. The left is angry because it wants power. You don't get power by acting like an angry mob wanting power. Steve
The one Trump heads. Free speech and assembly, actually. Today, free speech Trump doesn't like. Tomorrow...?
"The intelligence of that creature known as a crowd is the square root of the number of people in it." "Mobs become uncertain very quickly, in view of the absence of a central brain" "the IQ of a mob is the IQ of its most stupid member divided by the number of mobsters" The late, the great Terry Pratchett
Then as a member of the left condemn your sides atrocious attack on free speech at campuses otherwise you're just a pathetic hypocrite with nothing to add. I'm a Trump supporter because of the left's attack on the first amendment, you guys drove me to it. That and Hilldawg. No one takes anything the left has to say about the first seriously any more you've already stated that position and no amount of BS spin now will change that. When the left started with hate speech they lost all credibility because they tried to define speech into categories. WHICH IS THE OPPOSITE of free speech.
You've literally got that backwards. I became a Trump supporter during the 2016 primaries for this very reason. Chicago thugs kept Trump from his freedom of assembly and free speech rights when they threatened violence against his supporters. That happened many times during the 2016 election season. Most of it was ignored by the mainstream media. If a PREQUEL to Orwell's 1984 is ever written, it will be exactly what has been happening today in the U.S., by the democrat party. Steve
Then as a member of the left condemn your sides atrocious attack on free speech at campuses otherwise you're just a pathetic hypocrite with nothing to add. -> Search my post history. And please refrain from personal attacks. Thanks! I'm a Trump supporter because of the left's attack on the first amendment, you guys drove me to it. That and Hilldawg. -> Clinton is revolting, and members of the left and libs/Dems have indeed attacked free speech. But Trump's power as president, and his recent attacks on speech and assembly, pose an unusually serious and credible threat to our constitutional rights. Ignore this at the peril of much we hold dear in common. No one takes anything the left has to say about the first seriously any more you've already stated that position and no amount of BS spin now will change that. -> This comment is simply bizarre and illogical. When the left started with hate speech they lost all credibility because they tried to define speech into categories. WHICH IS THE OPPOSITE of free speech. -> Again, a bizarre (and illogical) ad hom position, though members of the left, libs and Dems are guilty of opposing free speech in various ways less powerful than the president and his attacks on same.
Do you understand the difference between protestors in Chicago or elsewhere delaying a political appearance, and the President of the United States - sworn to protect and defend the Constitution - openly attacking your basic constitutional rights?
They don't like the word "mob" because it tends to remind the public of the crime family nature of the unions, public and other, that comprise one of the Democrats' main constituencies and the "Boss Tweed" nature of Democrat politics generally. It's also a distinct possibility that they can't distinguish the slang, organized crime use of the term from its standard "peasants and pitchforks" meaning. Public union PR, Soros shills, freshly minted grievance/identity studies majors, etc., aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer.
No. A mob is a group of like minded people who break the law in any varieties of ways. Crashing police barricades, and storming congressional chambers during closed proceedings for instance. Destruction of propery, arson, and interference with municipal public safety officers qualifies too. Engage in any of these acts and you're a member of the mob. Approve, support or encourage any, and you have a mob mentality.
