+ 1 How Christians get a moral God out of their genocidal son murdering God is beyond me and they are not even attempting to justify Yahweh lately. Seems that more and more Christians are dithering out that genocide is not ever moral. Regards DL
Keep in mind that according to Christian Trinity Doctrine ... Jesus is/was the God of Abraham. Therefor it was Jesus who was doing all those things attributed to El Shaddai and YHWH. Then in the first Century AD Jesus did a massive flip flop and contradicted the behavior, characteristics and dictates of YHWH.
Understood. It was all about marketing and sales of a new and improved model. God for sale. Who wants to buy? Regards DL
Only my feeling. You certainly don't have to accept it! This is WEAK Christianity! This is NOT how a Christian is supposed to live! However, you are correct - that someone could foolishly use it as a 'get out of hell free card' without considering that they may not have any warning about their last dying breath in this highly unpredictable and evil world where they could in fact be killed instantly at any second of the day! However, you're not likely to meet many of these fools! I would suggest that they are few and very far between! Its not just the belief, its that they are allowing God's power to work in them and through them. Yes non-Christian people do good things, but its a question of proportion. You'll find that the majority of aid organisations are Christian. Where do these estimates come from? 25% is highly unlikely considering the Christian population is 69%! I hardly think that the country is 94% Christians and atheists! You "don't do it?" You don't do what?
Just interested in what is the premise because itbhs a judgement in your part. But it is a central basis, Jesus can forgive you all your sins simply because you ask and then you enter heaven on an equal basis with the nun who never sinned in her life and sacrificed everything for others. Well they are vastly the majority people. Just search the web the estimates have a broad range ans criteria. Maintain and live by them because a supernatural being threatens me with punishment if I don't. Let me ask you a question I can never get an answer from Christians What moral and ethical views do you hold that are unique to an indictive of Christians that you believe I as an atheist do not hold?
The nun has lived the superior life. As has anyone who hasn't lived a sinful life with the attitude of 'God will save me at the end.' And God will judge them accordingly. Many of them simply identify as Christian, perhaps because their Mum was or something. The church attendance percentage is certainly not equal to the census identified Christian population percentage. I think that tells us something. 25% is simply utter garbage though. More like 5-10% which would explain the lack of atheists in prison. Why do you choose to maintain and live by them and do you ALWAYS live by them perfectly? An understanding of sin for one - sin being an entire framework of morals and ethics in itself. And I don't expect that you don't care too much about the whole no sex before marriage thing either. And your view on abortion perhaps.
