What is the best advice for a black man during a police stop?

    I (legally) carry a firearm. It is generally pretty close to where my license is. In Florida, I'm under no legal obligation to disclose the fact that I'm carrying, but before I reach anywhere near it, I'm going to explain to the officer where it is and ask what he/she would like me to do. Some cops will cop an attitude, but it's been my experience that most like legal concealed carriers.

    don't have an attitude and just talk to the policeman with respect and he will show respect back to you..

    I would have my license out before the police arrive at my window. After all its not like as soon as you stop they are on you like they're SWAT or anything.

    Your choice. I choose not to reach in the general vicinity of my sidearm until we're both fully up to speed.
