    http://www.cnn.com/2017/10/05/politics/donald-trump-military-dinner/index.html

Trump was asked several times by reporters to explain the phrase and whether the phrase was a reference to Iran or North Korea. Trump choose either ignore the question or just repeat the phrase.

Trump appears to be treating a potential war like a reality show cliffhanger and I have significant doubts about his ability to understand the ramifications of treating international military conflict with the same level of thought associated with plotting the next episode of The Bachelor.

In the first place Trump is a drama queen.. and secondly he insulted his military advisers. He's getting sicker.

Maybe he's planning on outlawing guns. He seems the type.

Has anyone here bothered to read President Trumps book "The art of the Deal"?

In that book he says "I fight when I feel I'm getting screwed, even if it's costly and difficult and highly risky." He explains elsewhere that he's OK with "alienating some people along the way," as long as you're fighting for what you believe in. He notes later in the book that, "I can be a screamer when I want to be."
On the point of making crude public insults of those he feels have attacked or betrayed him, a practice he's held for decades, he says, "I don't go out of my way to be cordial to enemies."

Lastly he states ""The final key to the way I promote is bravado. I play to people's fantasies. People may not always think big themselves, but they can still get very excited by those who do. That's why a little hyperbole never hurts." Can you imagine the sleepless night Kim and Rouhani are having over this comment.

Hey people - whether you like the guy or not, read his book and you can avoid posting such stupid remarks.

This is the book that was written by someone else? And that person called Trump wholly unqualified for the Presidency?

So, in other words, he's perfectly willing to throw away the lives of other people just because someone is being mean to him.

Because, you know, that's kinda how war works. Trump gets to declare war, then other people who had no part in such a decision die in the thousands.

I saw Tony Schwartz being interviewed last night by Lawrence O'Donnell. He was the author of "The Art of the Deal". (trump didn't write a word.) In a nut shell he considers trump a total nut job and worries if he gets angry enough he would probably want to push the big red button.

Guyzilla said: "I am moral, he aint." What moral compass are you using? Trump was brought up in a construction environment and many of his ways are the same ways a construction worker would act in. "I support my family, I support my country and my flag and I'll punch anyone who attacks me in the mouth."

MrTLegal said: "This is the book that was written by someone else? And that person called Trump wholly unqualified for the Presidency?
What does it matter what the guy who ghosted the book thinks of Trump? Ask the guy if everything he has written is true.

I try hard not to call opposing comments "stupid", but please - think about what you said. Trump won't make a move unless provoked - and then his response will be very well thought out and carried out by an unfettered military - if a war starts, there will be cold calculation from America and shock and awe and death for the enemy

I can't believe you read his book and still voted for him. NYers (city)know what he is and didn't vote for him.

    Wait, what?!
Unless provoked!! A cool breeze can provoke this moron. He has not shown the ability to have a "response will be very well thought out".

You're right.. Trump didn't write any of his books, but he did buy 5,000 copies of Art of the Deal to get on the best seller list.

The man accused (falsely) a former miss america of having a sex tape @ 3am because she had the audacity to talk out against trump during the Presidential campaign.

The amount of action needed to provoke donnie into an irrational choice is extremely minimal.

Also, I have very little confidence in the ability of a man who said the following SENTENCE (yea, singular) to do something "very well thought out,"

LOL. That's what we elected, a reality TV show host now isn't it? Why expect something else? Dang shame the Democrats in their infinite wisdom couldn't have put up someone who would have beaten a reality TV show host. But that was the choice they made and we are living with that choice.

Maybe hes the first president we've had in a while that actually has a set of balls and will stick up for our country, instead of negotiating and selling us out. Only time will tell

I'd love to know the answer to this question myself. I saw the clips of him saying it and restating it but not saying what it means.

The man scares the hell out of me.

Yes, but like your post it wasn't relevant to anything being discussed.

I agree it was irrelevant. But my post isn't. I'm replying to a false claim.

Hopefully time is running out. He has shown that he doesn't have a set of balls. He's shown that he's nothing but a bully and when someone stands up to him he acts irrationally and immaturely.

A balless leader would be Obama who trades 5 terrorist leaders for a traitor who is guilty of deserting his fellow soldiers.

A real leader CALLS the traitor out.

You don't like Trump because he tells it like it is. This is going to be a long 4 years for you
