What is the most sovereign/subject relationship that you can imagine. Is it the relationship that a potter has with the clay?

The most sovereign/subject relationship that I can imagine is the relationship between an author and that author's novel characters.

Try to imagine a relationship between an infinite and a finite. Even though the differences between an author and that author's novel characters is beyond our ability to quantify, both the author and the characters are finite, and the differences between them are finite. The difference between an infinite and a finite is always infinite.

Somehow, someway well beyond my imagination, God is infinitely more sovereign over His creation than an author is over his novel work. Indeed, the novel work and the author are but a small part of His creation.
