If Modric does go, then a big-name striker and a reasonable keeper is a necessity. Gomes has made too many blunders; a team like Tottenham need consistency at the back you don't want to be the next Arsenal. Since De Gea is going to United, Asenjo is likely off the market as well; perhaps Muslera of Lazio would be an option he's had a great season and said he'd be leaving his current club. As for strikers. I have no idea who Spurs want or can afford. Rossi looks set for Barca, Cavani is staying at Napoli (or going to City.. lols) and Ade has outrageous wages... It'd also be sad to see 'arry go to Chelsea; if he takes the job I'd be so disappointed.
Gomes is a better keeper than anyone the Gooner scum have to offer. Spurs need an experience right back as well. Gonzalo Higuian is a possible option at striker
The day Madrid let Higuain go is the day Perez needs to be shot. That £15m rumor is so false. Even if it includes Ade, that's still less than £30m for an unbelievable striker of such a young age. Aguero's going for like £40. Gomes is better than (I have no idea how to spell that Polish boy's name); but Spurs should be on the lookout. Perhaps they can nab the next Hart or Neuer with some good scouting and luck.
It was fantastic wasn't it!! My favorite sports are world football(what we call soccer), American football, and tennis. I played American football as a child and in high school, never tennis. However since high school, I only watch football, but I both play and watch a lot of tennis!! PS. Lets go Federer at the French!!

Please tell me your second team is not Real Madrid??? Being a Manchester United fan and a Real Madrid fan would simply be too much poor judgment for me to overlook. PS. My teams after Liverpool are Paris Saint-Germain(simply because I love Paris), Napoli, and Real Sociedad. Whenever those teams are on over here, I try to watch them some. It was nice seeing Napoli make the champions league, PSG almost make it, and seeing Sociedad avoid relegation.
It is Madrid! I'm not really a United fan, I just wanted them to beat Barca and I like making you feel bad about Liverpool's roller coaster season. PSG? So close to making the Champs League this season; some real amazing youth talent though, so reason to have hope yet! Napoli, too, had an amazing season. I LOVE Cavani. Love love love. And Sociedad? Why? I don't know what reason anyone could have for them LOL.
I have enough to buy a gun, I think most do; but probably not going to. I'm not really interested in them in terms of collecting or as a hobby. I don't think I'd fit in at a firing range, and the getting a license thing seems like too much work for something that doesn't really interest me.
San Sebastian is a cool place. Basque tapas are really good. When I first started really getting into football(soccer) Real Sociedad were quite good, and last of all, because of Xabi Alonso who is probably my all-time favorite player, or at least he was until he went to the fascist club, played for Sociedad. I still like him even though he is at Madrid though. He played at Sociedad before Liverpool, and that made me like them even more. I also never liked Real Madrid(Franco's team) nor Barcelona(I like them more than I used to, but still not much). So it was a question of picking a team, and I chose them over Valencia and Deportivo de La Coruna.
I like their clubs, I hear Bilbao only hires Basque managers, coaches, and players! Such loyalty! Xabi Alonso is amazing; Liverpool were nowheres near the same after he left. What's your opinion of Rafa? I think he's a bumbling fool, but Pool fans seem to be divided.. Madrid has a horrible policy... Dang Galacticos. But at least Mou is bringing in lower-name youth players and hopefully changing Madrid; Valdano out, too.
I bet you would love it (I wish you could use a Ruger 10/22 Rifle & & Sig Mosquito .22lr pistol for a day )
I couldn't agree more. I think Alonso leaving explains about 95% of Liverpools problems last season(or I guess 2 seasons ago now that this season is over). He dictated the tempo, is a brilliant passer, is tactically brilliant, is always in the right place, and combined with Mascherano to form what was the second best midfield in the world IMO(Barcelona were #1). Alonso not only dictated tempo, and made Rafa's 4-2-3-1 system work, but his strengths also masked Mascheranos weaknesses, just like Xavi and Iniesta do at Barcelona. When he left, Liverpool couldn't recover, and replacing him would have been impossible, because only the unsellable Xavi and Iniesta can do what he does, and Barca would never sell them. I am pro-Rafa. Rafa won us the CL, which was the first major trophy Liverpool won in 15 years(for me league and CL are major, everything else is consolation prizes). He also led us to 2nd in 2008-2009. He made us a European power once again, which we hadn't really been since the 1980s. However, as much as I loved him, and as much as I think he is great, I think he brought about his own downfall. Trying to sell Alonso to get Gareth Barry was an absurd decision, and it forced Alonso out the next summer. If Rafa hadn't done that, I think he would still be at Liverpool today. PS. I think Rafa is Mourinho's equal as far as a tactician, but the difference between them is Mourinho is not only a brilliant tactician, he is a brilliant man-manager as well. Where as Rafa is a terrible man manager.
