What pets do you have?

Ah now Border Collies are very different from all other breeds of bow-wows. Next in the canine intelligence league come Alsatians, but they're still a long way behind Border Collies. But I was really referring to their owners, ie there are more female dog owners than male owners by 20 to 1.

 

Well thats what I get for skimming and reading too fast. Oh, well.

Border collies have a way of amazing you everyday. Just when I think he couldn't get any more intelligent he does something else that is amazing. My Border collie is AMAZING.

 

They're all amazing. As I've said, they're the only breed which I'd have if I wanted a dog.

I have recently retired and am settling into a new home. When I get settled, I want a cat. My cat died a few years ago. He was 16 and a beautiful tuxedo cat. I'm ready now to have another one. Like this:

Did you think it was a cat when you bought it then? Easy enough mistake to make, I suppose!

 

When I was taking a break period in my walk on Monday, a woman with two hairy dogs (like small chows?) sat down so close to me that she was invading my space when there was so much more space she could have taken. Anyway, to cut to the chase - when one, and then the other came near me, I silently harrumphed and moved just enough to prevent their sniffing me. As soon as I did, she upped and went. In other words she was offended for no other reason than because I didn't love her dogs. I mean WTF?

 

I also want a calico, like this, which I had many years ago.



And a black lab, which I also had many years ago. I've been moving around the world for the past 15 years, now I'm retired and ready to settle in one place.

Still got our 2 cats a Momma Cat and a 16 pound Tom Cat. They are fixed and very sweet.

 

We just got 4 new baby goats. Two boys and two girls.

Very cute. Babies of most species are so cute, except reptiles and insects.

We got seven baby kittens.

 

So basically, you have a furry terrorist training facility.

 

One and 3/4 cats. One tore all his leg ligaments in what we believe was an ill-fated adventure into the fenced in veggie garden, and the vet advised that it was highly unlikely even surgery could repair the damage. So, we had his hind leg removed.

He can still build up some serious speed, albeit with a slightly sideways gait, sometime to the point that his butt will arrive before his face at his destination. I know I'm a bad person for it, but it does cause a lot of laughter to watch.

 

Yes, but we have given two away. We named some by tail length. The shortest tail ...Bobcat...Button...then Half Tail....Braveheart...Cheeto Puff...Calico...Tiger Heart. The last four have normal tail length. Bobcat and Calico have been adopted.
