Most women only washed their hair once a month and used Borax or egg yolks for shampoo.

The average US wage in 1910 was 22 cents an hour.

The average US worker made between 200 and 400 dollars per year.

Competent Accountants could make: 2000 dollars a year
Competent Dentist could make: 2,500 dollars a year.
Competent Veterinarian could make: 1,500 to 4,000 dollars a year.
Competent Mechanical Engineer could make: 5,000 dollars a year.

The US Flag had 45 stars.

There was no Mother's Day or Father's Day.

Only 6% of all US Citizens graduated from HighSchool.

And in many places you had to deal with summer heat, no air conditioning. These 100 degree days must have been hard on the elderly and sick.

Florence Green, the world's last surviving First World War veteran has died, marking the end of an era in British history.
    (Wednesday 12 July 2017)

    (10:46AM GMT 07 Feb 2012)

Mrs Green passed away in her sleep at a care home in Norfolk just two weeks before her 111th birthday.

The great-grandmother signed up to the Women's Royal Air Force (WRAF) 93 years ago in September 1918, when she was aged just 17.

She was the last surviving person to have served in WWI following the death of British-born sailor Claude Choules in Australia last year.

During the First World War she worked at Narborough Airfield and RAF Marham, Norfolk, as an Officer's Mess steward.

Mrs Green, who was born in London, lived with her daughter May, 90, in King's Lynn, Norfolk, but had moved into Briar House care home shortly before Christmas where she died on Saturday.

I pray people don't begin playing around with Obituaries with 'fake news technology and media'. In Jesus' Name, I ask. Amen

You want to let children and child-like minded adults to run the show, that is your prerogative, but not Every body does...

Sooner or later, spankings, will reemerge..

Being timid towards such persons does no good for anyone.

This may sound strange to hear, but there are some people who would rather 'leave' the world than remain within current situations.

Here is 1 sure tell tale sign someone needs 'help'. If a person has no sense of 'shame' for anything, that person needs to be evaluated.

In a move toward destigmatizing pedophilia, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) in its updated Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), distinguishes between pedophiles who desire sex with children, and those who act on those desires.

The former group — those who want to have sex with children but whose desires are not distressing or harmful to themselves or others — is no longer classified as having a psychiatric condition in the updated DSM.

The new manual specifies that in order for an atypical sexual behavior to be classified as a mental condition, a person must:

    1. Feel personal distress about their interest, not merely distress resulting from society’s disapproval; or

    2. have a sexual desire or behavior that involves another person’s psychological distress, injury, or death, or a desire for sexual behaviors involving unwilling persons or persons unable to give legal consent.

    Necrophilia
Necrophilia, also called thanatophilia, is a sexual attraction or sexual act involving corpses. The attraction is classified as aparaphilia by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) of the American Psychiatric Association.

In the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, fifth edition (DSM-5), recurrent, intense sexual interest in corpses can be diagnosed under Other Specified Paraphilic Disorder (necrophilia) when it causes marked distress or impairment in important areas of functioning. A ten-tier classification of necrophilia exists:

      • Role players: People who get aroused from pretending their live partner is dead during sexual activity.
      • Romantic necrophiliacs: Bereaved people who remain attached to their dead lover's body.
      • Necrophilic fantasizers: People who fantasize about necrophilia, but never actually have sex with a corpse.
      • Tactile necrophiliacs: People who are aroused by touching or stroking a corpse, without engaging in intercourse.
      • Fetishistic necrophiliacs: People who remove objects (e.g., panties or a tampon) or body parts (e.g., a finger or genitalia) from a corpse for sexual purposes, without engaging in intercourse.
      • Necromutilomaniacs: People who derive pleasure from mutilating a corpse while masturbating, without engaging in intercourse.
      • Opportunistic necrophiliacs: People who normally have no interest in necrophilia, but take the opportunity when it arises.
      • Regular necrophiliacs: People who preferentially have intercourse with the dead.
      • Homicidal necrophiliacs: People who commit murder in order to have sex with the dead.
      • Exclusive necrophiliacs: People who have an exclusive interest in sex with the dead, and cannot perform at all for living partners.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Necrophilia

Basically, if your sexual urges DOES NOT cause you distress and if your sexual urges DOES NOT interfere with your daily lifestyle, you do not have a disorder.

If you are 'fine' with your pedophiliaism and/or Necrophiliaism, you are fine and well, according to the DSM5.

While only so many citizens are trying to keep the 'basics of Just' in tact, many opposers are trying to cut them to the core as being 'discriminatory' and 'prejudicial'.

Zoophilia is a paraphilia involving a sexual fixation on non-human animals. Bestiality is cross-species sexual activity between human and non-human animals. The terms are often used interchangeably, but some researchers make a distinction between the attraction (zoophilia) and the act (bestiality).

Although sex with animals is not outlawed in some countries, in most countries, bestiality is illegal under animal abuse laws or laws dealing with crimes against nature.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoophilia

Zoophilia might be under the same guidelines. That if it does not cause distress nor impair on your daily life, you are okay. If you are fine as one who partakes in zoophilia, then according to the DSM5, you are fine and well.

With pedophiliaism, necrophiliaism and bestialitism, who will know who is doing what in their private space?

I mean think about it. People shoot up heroin in private. People do many 'illegal' activities in private..

    Why DSM-5 Concerns European Psychiatrists

    https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/side-effects/201303/why-dsm-5-concerns-european-psychiatrists

I will try to explain succinctly why Europeans should be—indeed are—concerned about theDSM and its effects.

    - First, the DSM has lost its bet: there are no hard-and-fast biological markers that would allow establishing a psychiatric diagnosis.

    - Second, does the boom of the pharmaceutical industry correspond to scientific progress?

    - What are the consequences of pharmaco-induced psychiatry and DSMmethodology?

    - The DSM in the Age of Medico-Economics

I will not buy DSM-5. I will not use it. I will not teach it.

    About the Epidemic
    https://www.hhs.gov/opioids/about-the-epidemic/index.html

    Prescription Drug Abuse
The misuse and abuse of prescription medications in the United States remains high, but few people are aware of just how big the problem really is. In its candy-coated hues, this infographic shares the pill popping reality of the situation, from the numbers of abusers to the places they obtain their drugs and their reasons for abusing.

In 2010, almost 1 in 20 adolescents and adults—12 million people—used prescription pain medication when it was not prescribed for them or only for the feeling it caused. While many believe these drugs are not dangerous because they can be prescribed by a doctor, abuse often leads to dependence.

Young adults (age 18 to 25) are the biggest abusers of prescription (Rx) opioid pain relievers, ADHD stimulants, and anti-anxiety drugs. They do it for all kinds of reasons, including to get high, or because they think Rx stimulants will help them study better. But Rx abuse is dangerous.

After marijuana, prescription and over-the-counter medications account for most of the past-year use of commonly abused drugs among high school seniors. About 1 in 9 youth or 11.4% of young people aged 12 to 25 used prescription drugs nonmedically within the past year.

Abusing prescription opioid pain relievers is a major problem among young people, and a new study shows users are combining those drugs with other substances. The new research findings highlight the importance of addressing combined drug use in interventions to prevent substance abuse in young people.

An analysis of national prescribing patterns shows that more than half of patients who received an opioid prescription in 2009 had filled another opioid prescription within the previous 30 days. Researchers from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) will publish results of this analysis in the Journal of the American Medical Association.

    --------------------

Top 10 Most Abused Prescription Drugs

      • OxyContin. OxyContin is a narcotic pain reliever used to treat moderate to severe pain. Often abused, a crush-resistant formulation was created and marketed in 2010. Street value can be as high as $1 per milligram, or $80 for an 80mg tablet
      • Xanax. Xanax is a benzodiazepine medication used in the treatment of anxiety, anxiety disorders and panic disorders. Often causing the user to black out and forget the events while high on the drug, Xanax most often is abused with alcohol. Detox and withdrawal from Xanax is dangerous and can be fatal if not medically treated.
      • Vicodin. Vicodin in a narcotic pain killer indicated for relief of moderate to moderately severe pain. While often classified as less harmful or abuse than OxyContin or Percocet, new stronger, potent versions of the drug are now hitting the market.
      • Suboxone. Suboxone is actually a prescription drug created as maintenance treatment of opioid dependence, initially indicated to be used as a bridge for a patient into abstinence from drugs. It is an effective drug used to aid in the opiate detox process for a patient addicted to heroin or other prescription drugs. It is now often sold in the streets and has become the number 1 illicit drug bought and sold in jails and prisons in the United States.
      • Adderall. Adderall is a psychostimulant pharmaceutical drug used in the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) as well as the treatment of narcolepsy. It is widely known as abused on college campuses to aid students in studying and focus as well as abused by those in high stress jobs. Adderall is often prescribed to adolescents.
      • Valium. Valium (diazepam) is a prescription medication used to treat anxiety disorders, alcohol withdrawal symptoms or muscle spasms. It is often overprescribed or incorrectly prescribed for addiction patients. Valium is typically abused along with alcohol or other depressants.
      • Percocet. Percocet is another type of narcotic painkiller. It is a combination of opioid analgesic and anilide analgesic for relief of moderate to moderately severe pain. It is often crushed into a powder and snorted for a quicker high.
      • Ambien. Ambien is a sedative used for the short-term treatment of insomnia. It aids a patient in falling asleep or maintaining sleep. It is often abused in conjunction with other drugs or to aid a person in coming down from a high off drugs such as crack, cocaine or Crystal Meth.
      • Fentanyl. Fentanyl was created to aid in management of breakthrough pain in adults with cancer who already routinely take other opioid medicines on a regular schedule. Often Fentanyl is administered by a patch or a lollipop. Most recently, a rash of heroin overdose deaths throughout the country was found to be caused by heroin that was cut with Fentanyl.
      • Klonopin. Klonopin was created for management of absence seizures and myoclonic seizures in children as well as generalized seizures in both adults and children. It is used for the treatment of panic disorder and is often abused in conjunction with Adderrall or alcohol.
All of the above prescription drugs are dangerous if abused, are easily addictive and can cause emotionally difficult and physically painful withdrawal if not detoxed and treated medically. The opioid medications are physically addicting and after prolonged use will ultimately also call for a medically supervised detox to aid in painful withdrawal symptoms.

    Types of Commonly Abused Drugs

The most widely abused pharmaceuticals fall into three categories:

      • Opioids: These produce a sought-after euphoric effect due to their pain killing abilities for short-term or chronic pain.
      • Central nervous system depressants: Also called tranquillizers and depressants, these include barbituates and benzodiazepines, some of the most abused drugs. They have a calming, relaxing effect, like a warm blanket on the brain.
      • Stimulants: This class increases brain activity, thereby increasing alertness and energy.

    Drug Abuse Counselors

    What Are Drug Counselors?
Drug abuse counselors specialize in the treatment and recovery of substance abusers. They work with people suffering from dependencies on any type of drug ranging from cocaine to marijuana. Drug abuse counselors may work in places such as:

      • Research facilities.[IMG]
      • Educational centers.
      • Hospitals.
      • Mental health facilities.
      • Methadone clinics.
      • Private practice clinics.
      • Detention centers.
      • Drug rehabilitation centers.
      • Detox centers.
Drug abuse counselors are required in most states to have some sort of certification. They must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, though degrees are preferred in some areas.

What Does a Drug Abuse Counselor Do?
A drug abuse counselor works with the drug user in a therapy setting. His or her purpose is to find the root of the addiction and help patients progress into sobriety. Depending on the underlying cause of the addiction discovered, the counselor develops an individual treatment plan for each patient. To help their patients work past the addiction, counselors educate them about addiction and teach them how to move on through life without substance abuse. The main goal of a drug abuse counselor is to guide the drug abuser into sobriety through counseling.

Counseling and therapy for addiction help individuals in recovery understand what causes addiction, learn to recognize risk factors for relapse and develop tools for coping with stressful situations. Certified addiction therapists help patients find motivation, develop skills and improve relationships to support recovery.

addiction are mostly genetic and environmental. A person’s genetic makeup can make him or her more prone to sensation-seeking behavior, more compulsive and more vulnerable to addiction. Life events such as trauma, stress and early exposure to substances of abuse can also affect a person’s vulnerability.

    Vision
The American Psychiatric Association is an organization of psychiatrists working together to ensure humane care and effective treatment
for all persons with mental illness, including substance use disorders. It is the voice and conscience of modern psychiatry. Its vision is a society that has available, accessible quality psychiatric diagnosis and treatment.

There are no hard-and-fast traits, biological 'markers' that would allow the cause and effect of a psychiatric diagnosis to be credible.

    - eg; Just because my father was a heavy drinker is not the reason why I overly drink.

    - eg; Just because my mother was always eating is not the reason why I overeat.

Comparing Health Insurers to Other Industries

Moreover, everything is relative. Compared to retail pharmacies and other services, the largest players in the insurance industry have seen their return on revenue beaten down between 2010-2013 compared to the levels they enjoyed prior to the recession. The opposite has been true of retail pharmacies and other services, which now enjoy profit levels nearly double their counterparts in health insurance and managed care. Is Laboratory Corporation of America (9.9% return on revenues in 2013) engaged in immoral profit-making? And if it's so insanely profitable, why did its stock price grow only half as quickly as the Standard and Poor's 500 since July 2009? What does that say about profits in the rest of corporate America?

One factor that will affect health insurer profitability will be the so-called "bailout" funds for health insurers.

Sorry folks, but The Holy Bible is True.

    1 Timothy 6:10

"For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."

Why the many sorrows? How do you think such persons respond when their corrupt schemes are confronted? They would 'kill' to keep their monies.

For the love of money NOT For money

I say, 'For the love of God, LORD, help us!'

In Jesus Christ's Name, I ask. Amen.

You don't need to have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, though degrees are preferred in some areas, to pray. :)

There were 2 groups of fishermen. The one group were professional fishermen. They had learned the art of fishing and were well trained. The other group were not professionals. They had not learned the art and were not well trained.

They were both out at sea trying to make their daily catch. And neither group was succeeding.

Jesus walking on the shore, called out, 'Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find.'

The first group thought this man to be 'mad'. They knew the territory and they knew that fishes were not on that side at that hour of the day. They looked at one another and began to besmirch him to themselves and continued to seek their daily catch.

The other group, however, thought to themselves, 'We've been out here all day and have caught nothing. What harm can it do if we cast our net on the right side?' 'Do we', they said, 'have anything to prove by not casting the net on the ride side?' And so, "They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes."

    John 21:6

Which group, I wonder, made their daily catch?

If Christ Jesus has said that a thing is good, should I besmirch quietly? Or if Christ Jesus has said that a thing is not good, should I disdain loudly?

Surely, even though the 'other group' may have felt a bit foolish in doing something contrary to fishing skills and knowledge, they reaped a true reward for listening rather than discrediting.

Perhaps the Lord told the fishes to swim to the right side of the ship....
