For everyone who has a daughter, sister or wife or breeding age, as well as any female who is concerned...What will you actually do if RvW gets overturned by the new SCOTUS?

My wife is fluent in French and has lived there before. I refuse to live in a country that uses the power of its government to inject itself into our privacy based on the morals and standards of a 2,000 year old religion and its batch of sour ideologues.

If the SCOTUS rules my daughter has to abide by a set of outdated and contrived moral standards I will leave this place. Been saving to do it anyway.

TBH, I started this when Obama was in office. The primary factor for me is the cost of US healthcare. With the SCOTUS ruling on unions, my wife's livelihood can be severely damaged. Her pension may be threatened. The state made a promise but that means nothing.

At the end of all things, I refuse to live in a nation that is so hell bent on getting even with people. I don't want my kids growing up in a place that incentivizes prison time since there is profit attached to it. I want my kids to know and value human life, decency, and to live without fear that getting cancer means they won't be able to go to the doctor for a broken bone later in life without being bankrupt.

My wife and I are already raising our 3 grandchildren due to an accident that left our daughter incapable of caring for them. We have 5 children of our own, 3 girls 2 boys. Only 2 are still in high school.

...and then there's those who cannot address the OP (is it fear or no facts, could be either) but they have to jump in with a cheap shot since they have nothing else.

I don't see what circumstances would lead to that, since it would require a new case, but let's say it happened. It would merely return the situation to the status quo ante; the States would make the law, which means that blue states would continue to have abortion and some states, like Alabama probably wouldn't. It's called federalism.

    And I call it BS.
Every American citizen should have the same rights ( the right to their own body) in every state of the United States...

Ignorant flamebaiting aside : Here's an ignorant statement: """""ignorant dem decides to create life that the gov steps in and tells her she cannot kill another life. ""

If a woman decides to create life then why would she want an abortion??

And no, pregnant women have as much right to their bodies as anyone else...the government does NOT own it's people.

Righties want women who can't afford children to have them anyway so they , righties, can whine about taxpayers having to take up the slack.

And right now , the righties in government have been fighting to cut funding to every entity that aids children, like Welfare, SNAP, WIC.....does that make sense?

They want more poor kids so they can whine about the expense ???WTF!!!

BTW your sick flamebaiting: """...the dems are hell-bent to keep murdering millions upon millions of babies."""

Is wrong in so many ways , congratulations...

No , Dems and others who believe ALL American citizens have a right to their own bodies, even WOMEN, fight to keep that FREEDOM....righties want to destroy it because , as usual, they never think of the consequences....who would be next? ..and next???

...and an abortion isn't "murdering babies" although Anti-Choicers have to use emotion and hyperbole because they haven't got anything else to back their stance

Well...this is why we can't have nice things, like civility or domestic peace. Because you and most of the left oppose our federalist system of government. Abortion didn't become a national, polarizing issue until the Supreme Court nationalized it.

Maybe democrats will start voting in local elections now if Roe is overturned. A sensible limit of 12 weeks will probably be the result in many states.

Idc about RvW. All it does it protect abortion, which is important to body autonomy, but RvW doesnt concern things like vaccination, experimental procedures, microchipping...

What we need is a clarification in the Constitution that we each have individual sovereignty over our bodies, and abortion, vaccination, surgery, everything is entirely up to the individual whose body is effected.

I raised my daughters to be responsible, so this is not likely an issue for me. If abortion became illegal and one of my daughters decided to have an abortion, I would take her on a trip to where it was legal and have it safely done.

So you disagree that all American citizens should have the same rights...well,I can't change that.....it's such an extreme view that I doubt anyone or anything could change your mind.

Abortion was, has been and is a big issue. Just because you don't care what women went through before it was made legal doesn't mean it didn't exist.

Do pro-lifers think that it should become illegal to drive across state lines to get an abortion?

I'm guessing many will push for such laws, despite the brazen unconstitutionality of them.

I think Americans do have the same rights, those guaranteed by the constitution. If you want to make up even more rights (I understand the right to free college and free healthcare is popular with your crowd) then you are perfectly free to do it in your own states. I don't want to stop you. But here is your problem: You are totally intolerant of people who think differently. Whereas I can live and let live, you feel a need to impose, with a boot stomping on my face forever I suppose, your and only your version of how we should be forced to live. You guys desperately need to learn some tolerance or you are going to tear this country apart.

As for the particular issue of abortion, I'm with most Americans; I think it should be legal for part of the pregnancy and illegal for the other part. But I don't think it's a federal issue.

I don't have nor need a "crowd". I have never said free college or healthcare are rights but they should be.....that's what governments are for, the "we the people".

:) I hope you were looking in a mirror when you said that. You elected a dictator and then spout that crap?

And all of that little irrelevant rant should be applied to those who want to BAN abortion, take away women's rights to their own bodies. They can't seem to "live and let live" and want to impose their version of how women should be FORCED to live.

That's because you think it's a 'woman's issue" and it isn't , it is a RIGHTS issue. And ALL Americans should have the same basic rights …..

What other rights do you want taken away from women who want the same freedom you have to move from state to state and keep their basic American freedoms?

Yes, there will be booths set up at every state line to test women to see if they're pregnant. Then if they are they are refused entry into that state.

Same with foreign travel, Anti-Choicers want women leaving the country to have to undergo pregnancy testing to make sure they're either not pregnant or still pregnant when they return or they'll be thrown in jail...

That is exactly what Anti-Choice righties are calling for...

I was wondering if you would actually have a coherent response or merely a rant. I wish I would have bet on it because rant wins by a landslide.

    "You elected a dictator..." LOL!

Except for some women 12 weeks isn't sensible. ...and in general it isn't sensible since some women don't always know they are pregnant.

It isn't sensible since a fetus is not viable until 23 weeks.

I suppose that if the 12 week limit is proposed then righties will gladly fork over more dough to pay for the children of women who missed the 12 week mark ...or their incarceration..

There was nothing to address. It was simply the same boilerplate that I've heard my entire life. "...it is a RIGHTS issue." That doesn't mean anything. What right? Derived from what? The Supreme Court? I mean, if you have specific points to address, please point them out, because it seems like you posted a lot of emoting and not much else.
