yeah, and the usa is only different in that regard, in that we'll spew total bs rather than pretend it didn't occur... been like that for centuries here... so what's better, keeping quiet or lying as a cover-up...

There are 3 things a deep sea submergible would be doing there. One would be to destroy the cable, but the cable to where - Alaska to Russia? I don't think so. The other would be to lay down nuclear mines to flood the coasts in case of war? In case of nuclear war I don't think they would need it. Besides it would flood Russia's coasts as well.

The third and the most likely is that the sub was doing exactly what the Russians said; researching the Russian continental shelf so they could present their claims to the UN. There are a lot of problems in the Arctic over the continental shelfs and what waters belongs to who, so it's not something the US would be pleased about.

My belief is that the Pentagon got whiff the sub was there, and wanted to destroy it so it can't be used to define Russia's continental shelf. There was another armed sub protecting it, so how did the American sub manage to hit the submergible? Did they torpedo it, and if they did, then the Russian sub above it must have responded. Did they sink the American sub????

I saw a satellite image of a bunch of American jets heading towards Alaska. Would they be heading there if the situation wasn't serious?

You saw a satellite image of jets?

Where did you see these images?

What security clearance do you have to see these particular images.

    Maybe you should post them?

The Americans would have been aware that there were two subs, probably which subs they were and the watchdog would have gone down first. The Russian being a deep diver might have had an oxygen rich environment and something caused a fire. I doubt there was any kind of fight, if there is any truth to that version a missing American sub is hard to conceal. Especially when all 20 Dem candidates can blame Trump for the loss.

Putin must be quite a weakling to have kept that under wraps and not called us out for sinking her. Funny, too, that we offered to help with the Kursk but were rebuffed by your glorious leader, who proceeded to fail and allowed those crewmen to die.

Trumpers like to project Trump's faults onto his opponents, as Trump himself often does.

The idea that an American sub was sunk is beyond ridiculous.

Let's watch for a day or two and see if it's silly or prophetic.

Putinka won't call out...or up the ante in any way....it would be catastrophic for him...and he knows it.

Russki navy doesn't match US/NATO.....it's good for ramming Ukranian tugs in the Azov though.

Much is known by Western military intelligence of the Russian navies abilities or lack of them. They aren’t about to go announcing any of it.
The Russians themselves have little understanding of how much the West has observed. The only area not well understood is Russia’s experiments with exteme depth exploration. It appears that soon many change. What is obvious is the Russians have less of a conscience about expending the lives of their submariners but then again the West has played that game too. My uncle was a welding instructor in a submarine base on the West Coast of the US . I learnt enough from him to scare the living daylights out of anyone diving in the Thresher class of subs.
Maybe things have improved since as we’ve heard of few US disasters for the last decade or so?

in the year of 2000 he sure was & the country had to undergo complete overhaul. Russia was indeed weak back then.
you must be joking. NATO offers help someone it just dealt a blow? USA would 'help' only to exacerbate the damage.

Strangely...we actually know when things happen here, we even have multiple news sources and access to pretty much all the others....even RT.

Debka says that Putin admits the submersible was hit by fire, yet in RT it states that a fire broke out in the wireing. I recall years ago people saying not to pay too much attention to Debkafile and the story about a fire fight is coming from Debkafile.

And Yet - I did see a satellite video on Dutchsense showing a pack of American jets heading towards Alaska, something which he couldn't understand before the story broke. So why were the jets going to Alaska, and why so many security meetings? Are they all so concerned about the Russian sailors dying?

Then again maybe those security meetings have something to do with Israel. Netanyahu said that if the US doesn't hit Iran, then they will do it alone. In the meantime an American reconnaissance plane flew into Iranian territory, but Iran realized it was to provoke them to give Washington an excuse to bomb so they didn't shoot.

Yeah, and the MSM are all owned by the same 6 companies, and with journalists who are really stenographers - otherwise they would be out of a career.
