Nunes is in over his head and has no intention in cooperating with his own investigation; http://www.msnbc.com/the-last-word/...on-nunes-it-feels-like-a-cover-up-90884461194

There is nothing whatsoever silly about Nunes covering up his sources. That silliness is actually obstruction.

And aside from his implication and obvious complicity in screwing up the investigative process, this flunky actually was voted into a public office? And he's been in office 13 years? Unbelievable!

    You got that right.

Here is the latest on the Munes caper, Trump's ally in the House, Devin Nunes, chairman of the Intelligence Committee. “Nothing has been canceled,” Nunes said on Tuesday. “Everything is moving forward as is.”

Nunes cancelled an open hearing scheduled for Monday during which fired ass't. A. G. Sally Yates was going to testify. She has first hand knowledge of events leading up to the firing of Mike Flynn, Trump's former NSA. Nunes said he had to learn more facts from FBI Director Comey and NSA Director Rogers in a closed hearing on Tuesday.

Nunes cancelled the Tuesday hearing with Comey and Rogers.

Nunes has cancelled all meetings this week with his committee.

“Nothing has been canceled. Everything is moving forward as is.”

Two questions. One, doesn't that look the least bit suspicious?

Two, if you had been following along, beginning with last Tuesday and his hushed-up visit to the White House to speak with his still unknown informant, does anyone think Nunes is acting alone, no guidance from the White House?

Bonus question, did the leak of all this come from the White House? Makes perfect sense, right.

Betcha, all Trump sycophants will avoid those two questions and especially the bonus question. They have avoided everything else about the Nunes affair.

We still have no idea what is contained in the documents, thumb drive, and/or computer Nunes has, neither do members of his committee.

    This is surreal.

Aw, I just thought I'd toss it out there. For more interesting is Nunes himself.

This is getting really weird, like he Nunes is on drugs. No, I am not seriously suggesting that, but I have followed politics for a long time, going as far back as Watergate. I have never seen anything so strange; the chairman of a House investigating committee holding information from his own committee as well as everyone else. I am beginning to think this is all an elaborate, but inherently asinine, ruse to get Trump's staff and their possible connection to the Russians off the front page, and that Nunes has nothing. Perhaps, he hopes this will all be forgotten by the end of spring break which is just around the corner.

Believe it or not, it gets even stranger.

Nunes said on Tuesday he will not divulge – even to other members of his panel – who gave him intelligence reports that indicated President Trump and his associates may have been ensnared in incidental intelligence collection.

Asked by an ABC News reporter whether he would inform the other committee members about who gave him the reports he viewed on the White House grounds last week, Nunes said: “We will never reveal those sources and methods.”

I have just one question. Noting that Nunes is literally keep all of this close to his vest, who is "we?"

Another inadvertent slip? Is "we" members of Trump's staff protecting the President?

    And themselves?

Does anyone else see anything wrong with that statement?

How can Nunes be linked to anything with the word "intelligence" in it?

There's nothing strange about this, you just don't want it to be true.

If the information came from a whistle blower, the whistle blower would be in danger if his identity is revealed. I heard it was a whistle blower so they probably don't want him to get suicided. I'm sure we will find out eventually when things get underway.

"We" is probably Nunes and whoever else has seen the info. I'm positive it's more than Trump and Nunes. Comey and Roger's certainly know what the info is because they cancelled their meeting with Nunes. What difference does it make anyway?

Trump's fans have to ask themselves a question. Interference in our election is a serious matter, a threat to our national security, and the interference has been verified by our 17 intelligence agencies. The President is our Commander-in-Chief and is solely responsible for our national security.

Why hasn't our Commander-in-Chief expressed his concern over the Russian interference in our election?

    Check out this Google search.

    https://www.google.com/#q=white+house+expresses+regret+over+russian+interference+in+our+election?&*

At first, Trump derided the scrutiny of the hacking as a “witch hunt,” and said that the attacks could have been from anyone—the Russians, the Chinese, or “somebody sitting on their bed that weighs four hundred pounds.” In the end, he grudgingly accepted the finding, but insisted that Russian interference had had “absolutely no effect on the outcome of the election.”

    http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2017/03/06/trump-putin-and-the-new-cold-war

In case you are wondering, that is it. Trump has made no other reference to the Russian interference in our election.

Are Trump fans going to ignore this, too? Maybe they will say again, "There is no proof," and proof is staring them right in the face.

It's almost as much of an oxymoron as the title "President Trump".

    1) trump wants to ignore the Russia/trump investigation, in the hope it will go away.

    2) trump's supporters just want their party in power, they don't care about America or truth or what's right.

Oh, I want it to be true.

Taking all the events since last Tuesday in stride, it would not surprise me at all that someone, like Nunes, for example, explains he is keeping his informant a secret from everyone, including the White House and members of his committee, because he fears for the life of the informant. To be frank, in this bizarre episode, nothing would surprise me at all.

You don't know who is aware of the contents of whatever Nunes has. You don't know that Comey and Rogers know. And you don't know who "we" is.

Why is it important? You know perfectly well why. Are members of Trump's staff the "we." That makes perfect sense because he got the material from the White House.

Is that why you wish to minimize the importance of "we?"

    Statement 1) My point exactly.

Statement 2) It is obvious they don't care about Trump. They rarely defend him. They pay no attention to the damning evidence against him. Indeed, they say the evidence doesn't exist.

And the really bizarre thing is that their party will do nothing to improve their lives and everything to make it worse.

"No evidence of that has been given, no evidence of that has even been put FORTH other than "Wah, they had business dealings in Russia!"."

I haven't issued one "Wah." Honest. I have issued far more statements of fact that show the bizarre movements of Nunes. You didn't deal with any of that evidence. You simply said, "No evidence of that has been given," which is totally false. What is true is that you ignored the evidence.

Sure, I'd loved to have the FBI be more forthcoming, but that has no bearing on the evidence I have provided so far that indicates White House guilt of covering up along with smoke and mirrors to change the subject. In fact, it has all gotten to the ridiculous stage, a ludicrous dog and pony show.

Yes, I do. Do you think they didn't show up for lack of curiosity? Did they realize at the last minute that they had better things to do? Get real, Sandy.

I'm sorry. Your reply makes no sense to me. I am suggesting the White House is the main driver behind Nunes activities. The White House wishes to change the subject away from the Russian connection. The White House is the "we."

Both the House and Senate have investigating committees looking into the Russian connection. Nunes is in charge of the House version.
