Think about it this way. Folks are thinking outside of the box that pharma wants you limited to. The simple fact is that ivermectin is an anti viral in the same way that COVID shots are. They aren't a cure, nor are they a miracle. But it sure is delicious watching this administration tell the world that no one can stockpile what is ostensibly, from their own marketing a hoax... Best of luck trying to make folks not see the naked emperor Xiben.....

    Come on man.
John Hopkins supposed to be reputable resource

I think people are starting to realize how dangerous vaccines are.
The vaccinations doubles the speed of virus mutations.

If you see an article on the Internet, newspaper, magazine or television saying that there are promising signs that Treatment X could prevent, treat or cure Covid-19, you are free to experiment on yourself and even make herbal home treatments if you honestly think it's more than a placebo. You will forgive me however if I show no sympathy or pity if your particular jurisdiction throws obstacles in the way of you obtaining the specific drug you desire because the consensus on it's efficacy is not large enough.

It is not wise however to stand behind a government lectern and announce loudly and proudly that a cure has been found and call for people to use Treatment X in mass.

I would stick to caution and take the conservative approach (ironic for me) and listen to the most prominent voices in the medical community as well as the approach that has worked in the past: vaccines. I'm not going to jump for joy that some unorthodox treatment shows some promising signs but is not greenlit from the likes of Fauci.

I think of my approach in the form of an analogy of calmly walking to the emergency exit as opposed to jumping through the window.

Thats fine. But maybe also dont try to frame something that is currently certified for use in humans and is being researched as a possible treatment for covid as merely 'horse dewormer.'

Depends on the county. Los Angeles county, for instance has twice the population of Queensland. Cook county Illinois and Harris county Texas have a similar population. There are more than 3000 counties in the U.S. It may be hard for an Australian to understand the differences in scale between the U.S. and Australia. Your entire country has a lower population than California, our most populous state.

Mutations happen constantly with many viruses, certainly corona viruses. When a mutation is resistant to existing anti bodies then it spreads faster than a mutation that doesn't do that. It isn't about a vaccine causing more mutation. It is about some mutations being more successful despite the vaccines. Johns Hopkins has one of the premier medical schools in the country. I can assure you they know this.

Yeah! And that sort of thinking has led to a whole raft of cures called “homeopathy”

No it is about population DENSITY. Early on in the pandemic it was noted that subgroups where inter generational housing was the norm were hit extremely hard with death rates much higher that even increased co-morbidity could account for. Think about it - because it all comes down to viral load. If you are only exposed to a dozen viral particles you have a better chance of your immune system coping with that attack than if you are exposed to a area that is saturated with billions of particles. This also explains why we have been terrified for our indigenous population because it would be a replication of what has been seen in the Amerindian and Inuit groups

I understand all of that. I live in an area with a covid situation similar to yours I don't know of a single case that has occurred in or around the small town near me. Nobody wears masks. Yes most of the problem is in densely populated cities.

So, not the same thing, one. And second, why try to derail the conversation by not addressing the post?

Because the post was full of dreck

I get so tired of the same old same old rubbish partisan crock. “It can’t be any good because - DEMOCRATS”!!!!

Do you know this board has not one but two members at minimum willing to teach people how to critique medical research so they know good from bad. A skill you would have to spend years at university to learn we would set you on that path for free.

So, what are the claims of Ivermectin based on - actually some pretty solid in vitro (that means they did the research in a lab on human cells) research showing it did stop viral replication - the kicker was the dose. To achieve the dose required to stop the virus replicating it would have to be given in a dose waaay beyond what had ever been given to a human before. Now if you can find some research on human dosing that shows a good viral effect at the same time then we will listen

Granted it's not approved for COVID treatment in the U.S., nonetheless it is approved. I have mentioned that DMSO was "Not to long ago" not approved for human use but after millions of Californians discovered it completely relieved arthritis if rubbed on their joints it is now FDA approved and in many creams and sold for that use and treatment.. Point is, Ivermectin has it's place I agree, if it works for people fine if it doesn't that's their choice and again fine by me..

But lets look at the wonderful crap the FDA has approved for we human subjects..
How COVID-19 ‘Vaccines’ May Destroy the Lives of Millions – Real Truth Real News (wordpress.com)

Facts are what you believe :) If the vaccine is doing its job "Immunity" as they boost why are countries far more vaxxed then we seeing increases in covid related deaths "See Israel, Germany, Italy and Russia.

If the VAX is so successful then maybe you can explain the state of Australia presently? Immunity not working so well there is it? In fact, Australians are still using pre vax quarantine X4, bubble buddies, travel restriction, fines, designated quarantine hold while traveling and that's just the tip of it!

Vaccination rates remain low in comparison to many other countries because of a lack of supply and community concerns about possible side effects. Only about 20% of Australians are fully inoculated. Authorities say those vaccination rates need to be between 50% and 80% for lockdown restrictions to be relaxed.

    *Gasp* how could this be?!?!?!?!!?

Just saying, ivermectin has already been approved, or did you miss that part? More, why would the Xiden administration be attempting to hoard it?

    https://www.politifact.com/factchec...ctin-was-approved-fda-treat-some-diseases-no/

Its only the left that does not know the different between Animal and Human usage.. ( but strangely enough claim the other side is the issue.)

Past testing of Ivermectin has shown it to be safe for use on humans in certain configurations.

But, its approved uses do not include COVID. No standardized scientific testing has shown ivermectin to be useful in preventing or treating COVID.

No, facts are facts. What you believe may or may not have anything to do with facts.

We and other countries get the same vaccines. However, vaccines are not a perfect preventative, as we well know. They do reduce severity and transmission rate.

So, one has to look at other factors.

In the US, we are CRAP when it comes to following the rest of the recommendations for slowing COVID spread. Plus, there may be other differences between countries that help or hinder COVID transmission.

It's been successfully tested to be safe in certain configurations.

It has NOT been tested or certified for efficacy against COVID.

You really are one of the most lame when it comes to trying to use ad hom.

The issue is that humans have been showing up at hospitals with ivermectin poisoning.

Either it was because they used animal formulations.

Or, they overdosed, as there is no dosage set for use with COVID by the FDA, since ivermectin isn't approved for that use and has NEVER been shown to be effective for that use.

Mutations will be more successful in the vaccinated because the vaccine limits the original virus allowing more success and shedding of the mutation.
