You and I obviously differ in our viewpoints; to me its no big deal; based on your response it's obviously an issue to you.
Agreed. So am I. What the SJWs don't grasp is that a woman who wants to breastfeed in public should first ask herself if the act might just possibly make someone else uncomfortable. That's all. It's not that hard. That's the essence of good manners. If she looks around and notices that she's surrounded by young boys, elderly women, priests or girl scouts, or in fact anyone who looks like they just might feel uncomfortable, the obvious choice would be to take it elsewhere. That's not rocket science, it's merely social courtesy. Quite. And at this forum, it seems some of those "sensitive" men are quite happy to bring their wives into debates and repeat what they say. In this case, it seems the wife wasn't quite up to speed, since she assumed, with no evidence, that I was a woman.
So, let me see, your wife made an incorrect assumption about a complete stranger and made a fool of herself, and then you publicly posted what she said, verbatim? Hmmm....
I have never seen a woman breastfeeding in public, although I have seen my friend breastfeed in private at home, which by the way is a very hilarious and interesting thing to see with a wriggling baby. lol I personally wouldn't want to do it in public, but if the infant is hungry and it needs to be done I don't see a problem with it. I heard having really full breasts (full of milk that is) can also hurt quite a bit. So if anything it would be beneficial to both mother and child, no matter where they are.
Meh. It is a testament of an unnatural society when babies and children, and all their rearing entails, are not a part of the public sphere. Child-rearing in the industrialized world is in general misguided to a fault and leads to (*)(*)(*)(*)ed-up kids.
Wouldn't quite go that far. But it is interesting that it is mostly you Americans which have a big problem. Comes from not differentiating between primary and secondary sexual characteristics.
That's a dumb point. Having sex is a natural act. So is masturbation and urination. But those aren't okay in public.
The issue with public masturbation is because some poeple are unsettled by it. Does the issue belong to those people as well?
Sounds kinda rational. Still do not see much of a problem for people around. After all, nobody goes crazy over person, for example, removing shoe in public to throw a pebble out. Just personal need - in that case need of a child - that is pretty much harmless. And, just because that matters too, children need being regularily fed in certain age, to grow healthy. In a way it is similar to taking medicine in public. Inhalators may be not pleasant to see and hiss loudly, but that does not means astmatics should not use them publicly.
