Colton says he is in love with Cassie on the TV program on ABC ... The Bachelor. I normally pay no attention to it but it caught my eye today.

I am fine. And how are you?

I am shocked that you are watching crap like that Robert!

You know that it will rot your brain.

One of the books I read in college had a profound impact on me and maybe, if you haven't read it, you could give it a try.

It's written in comic style and very easy to read but so intense.

I would recommend it over the Bachelor any day.

Well I shall peek into your recommended book.

As I said, the program has been on a long time but I just never got interested. I think I lingered due to the rest of the TV channels I can get having crap.

So don't worry. I doubt I will see it again.

I've just explained how they are linked to Russia. Even Manafort admitted his actions in the Ukraine were to advance Putin's agenda there.

If he does pardon him, the act will signal Trump's impending decision to remove himself from the 2020 race - or his acceptance that he will lose in 2020 (which, I think, will make him remove himself rather than lose).

Well I do agree that anyone who has charges of tax evasion and bank fraud looked at by the DOJ, then the DOJ declines to prosecute, then another prosecutor picks them up for a political reason, yes they should also have their sentence commuted.

The idea that he was uncovered because of his party affiliation is just plain silly.

What happened was that he had committed numerous federal crimes that surrounded the Russian attack on our democracy. And, ANY investigation of that would have to get to the bottom of his involvement.

And, I'd point out that we haven't gotten to the bottom of his involvement yet.

That comes with Mueller's final report.

    Absolutely not.

I am totally persuaded that when the Mueller report comes out, it will be completely misrepresented by Democrats.

Well, first of all there wasn't any "political reason" involved.

And, the reasons for not prosecuting the crimes noticed in the past have very clearly changed. More crimes were found, a prosecution was going to take place regardless, substantially more evidence became available, the crimes are tied to an issue of national import, etc.

Besides, there was no reason for the prosecutors not to prosecute the crimes noticed in the past. The fact that they didn't put in the time and effort in the past doesn't somehow mean he isn't guilty.

Oh I'm sure Manafort is guilty of tax evasion and so forth, but it's not like these were crimes that Mueller accidentally uncovered. The DOJ knew about them, that's why Mueller went after Manafort. As far as "...the reasons for not prosecuting the crimes noticed in the past have very clearly changed," well yes I agree! What changed was Trump won the election so the establishment was striking back.

Your totally unsupportable prognostications are noted.

But, such prognostications have no bearing on anything happening today.

Mueller went after Manafort, because he's an unregistered foreign agent connected to those who attacked our democracy, is deeply in debt to Russian oligarchs who were part of the attack on our democracy, was the CHAIRMAN of the campaign involved and thus was on the inside of decision making, has contacts with operatives such as Assange that are central to methods used, etc.

Not going after Manafort would be unbelievable dereliction of duty for ANYONE chartered to get to the bottom of this assault on our democracy.

Plus, the investigation of these issues would fill out evidence that prosecutors in the past simply didn't have and would have had to develop were they to prosecute the few crimes originally known to have existed.

    Manafort did not assault anything.

Mueller would get praise were he actually jailing Russians.

Tax crimes and mortgage fraud have nothing at all to do with Russians. Nor did those where Manafort was hired in Ukraine. They are bitter at Putin.

I'm all for it for a very simple reason.

I've grown to be greatly entertained by the visual of liberal heads exploding.

Outside of that, I really don't care.

Dammit, Ukraine is not accused of attacking our Democracy. Manafort was paid by Ukrainians. It is very debatable that the Ukraine person Manafort worked for had any inkling of those indicted Russians named by Mueller. They came from St. Petersburg I believe it is.

I think if Manafort had anything to say about Trump he would have said it by now and nothing he has been charged with has anything to do with Trump. And I bet those Russian oligarchs have written off any debts Manafort might have with, I don't think they expect to ever get paid back now.
