C'mon, we all have some strange habit(s) that make us weird!

    * I cannot sleep with my feet uncovered, no matter how warm the room. I always have to be fully tucked in and I can only sleep on the side.

    * Having left the house, I always get paranoid that I forgot to lock the door.,

    * Absolutely looove the smell of diesel.

Might have a few more to share, but I will wait for your confessions before sharing those. :p

Thought I was the only one who couldn't sleep without my feet covered!
I talk to myself sometimes. (Yeah yeah I know....)
Absolutely looove to drive manual transmissions.

I'm sure I'll think of some others later.

Weird. I too can't sleep without my feet being covered. I always re-check to ensure my door is locked, and love the smell of diesel.

I might add that I need any room I'm in to be very bright (lighting).

    Welder's goggles.

It was discovered that smiling and laughing not only result from good feelings, but good feelings result from smiling and laughing. It literally works both ways. By forcing your self to smile and laugh, you will cause a release of feel-good chemicals and make yourself happier. So while on my way to a date or waiting for her show up, guess what I do.

I had to do something. It can be hard to shift gears from the stress and the sometimes intense nature of my work, and put myself in a upbeat mood, in an hour or two... while rushing to get ready.

I rely on funny TV shows to get me in a good mood after a long day or week. I'm a big South Park and Family Guy fan. Also, the Office and Parks and Recreation.

South Park is funny. I've never watched Family Guy but have caught P and R a few times and liked it. I like watching stand-up comedians on Netflix from time to time. But I'm talking about changing state between my last work phone call or after 12 hours of programming, and trying to get upbeat and chill while getting dressed, fighting traffic, or cleaning my house. I realized that my date would show up or get in the car, and I would literally try to go from work mode to date mode in about ten seconds. That's pretty hard to do.

Yea, it's best to transition into each mood lightly. When I was deployed, the first day after processing, I had to help these engineers dig holes in really dry heat. from 0600-1900 we were either digging or helping install something. at 1930 I had a video call scheduled with my girlfriend. Really tough to be all "lovey dovey" after that crap. But I think I did a good job pretending

Family Guy is boring as hell. South Park on the other hand is GOAT. Huge fan. :)

I love the smell of denatured alcohol. I can still remember going for my toddler shots, less than age 5 I guess, and the smell of denatured alcohol. I'm sure I hated the shots but all I can really remember is liking the smell. Later I used it as a cleaner for electronics. That was when I realized what that smell was, that I remembered from my early childhood. And I never got tired of it.

:roflol: I've got more quirks than you can shake a stick at. But I have go to Sainsbury's soon so I'll get back to you lo antes possible. In the meantime . . . why would anyone want to sleep with their feet uncovered? [IMG]

Up until I was 16, I had to search through the whole house each time I returned from school, to ensure my brother wasn't hiding anywhere.

For almost 10 years, he used to hide and then pop out to scare me. Eventuallyb, learned to check for his jacket and shoes to figure out if he was home or not. But then he started hiding his jacket and shoes too.

Guess this was more of a trauma than a quirk, but the line between quirk and paranoia is very thin. :p

On warm nights I have to sleep with my feet uncovered... it's how we cool down, via our head and feet

I don't eat burgers or pizza often but when I do I use a knife and fork

Since I've had kids I'm a keep to the speed limit driver, but there's one corner near home I always take on two wheels just for the hell of it, kids use to call it "mummy corner" (they're a bit older now).. shrug... my car is made for hugging corners.

I think I'm fairly quirkless, I don't really have any extremely unusual quirks

I sleep with a fairly bright light on and aimed right at my face. I can't understand why most people don't want to be able to fantasize that they are outside on a pleasant summer day when they drift off rather than underground.

Now that you can illuminate a room fairly well on 8 watts I keep my house pretty well lit 24/7. I constantly disturb people at movies muttering "turn the light on" whenever the protagonist is entering his living room and about to be shot/eaten by the burglar/assassin/monster standing there and fully visible if the idiot would just use the light switch next to him. Do people LIKE to stumble about in dark places or what?

I also used to wonder why people apparently liked to drink in caves instead of outdoors or in a sunny room until I realized that bars are also good places to seduce ladies and being dark disguised what I looked like.
