Citizens aren't Constitutionally restricted at all - the Constitution/BoR restricts the federal government. States, however, can limit Constitutionally limit ownership of dangerous objects subject to those limitations on power named in Miller, Heller, McDonald and Caetano.

No, the Constitution says nothing about any limitations on Arms.

What if its not used to kill someone?? If a carjacker does not want to be intentionally caught, he/she will most likely obey traffic laws. How'd the person threaten your life by hijacking your car??

attempting is one thing; did he gain control of the firearm? If not then killing the carjacker was not morally right even if legally permissible.

Easy, 1997, Williamsburg Bridge, Brooklyn side, I stop at a red traffic signal at 2 am, and a Man runs up to my open window to find himself staring at a muzzle, as he offers to car jack me, pointing a bulging jacket pocket at me, hence, threatening my life.

It was morally, legally, even laudable a killing,
To shoot that hard a person or criminal.

In that case you know you are right and I know that I am right; therefore we will have to agree to disagree on this thread. that'll end discussion on this thread for both you and I.

what did he have in his jacket? A banana? How is that threatening your life?? Where was the gun??? If I walk up to you at an intersection and point my finger at you through your open window, is that grounds to kill me??

So you will vouch for this person? Do you know what hijacking is? It’s where someone takes your car by force or threat of deadly force.

Not necessarily; I've seen hijackings where the perp physically pulled the victim from their car without the use of a weapon.

Then he would be dead at that point. Forcing yourself into an occupied car or home can legally be met with deadly force where I live.

The act of car jacking with or without a weapon produces the same effect of fearing for one's life and justifies the use of a lethal force response.

If someone is big enough to pull someone out of a car, what assurances does the victim have that the threat is not deadly? Most able bodied people could kill an elderly person with one good punch. Why does a carjacker deserve the chance and then leave in your car that can be used as a deadly weapon? Why do you trust this person more than his victim?

If someone points something inside his pocket at you like it's a firearm, implies it's a firearm, and states he will kill you if you don't comply with his demands, then shooting him is perfectly lawful and justifiable; whether what he has in his pocket is a weapon or not.

    i was wrong.

in NY you can ONLY use deadly force to protect your life or the life of another, or to prevent an arson.

you cant use deadly force to protect property

stealing my car from the Walmart parking lot does not put my life in immediate danger.

no reason to shoot such a person, even if i may want to.

Because that's not the norm. How many people can you honestly say you've wittnessed being pulled from a car and killed?? I've seen many video's of people being pulled from their cars and have not seen one killed by being punched or shot.
