'Almost no one' still are. I see several per day just in my little town. Way more when Im working in Seattle or Portland. More than I see wearing Che shirts, by a very large margin. Which is better than the other way around I suppose, but you still havnt answered my question. Why did you have such a strong reaction to my criticism of people doing something that we both appear to agree is silly at the very least?
You JUST learned that Covid DENIERS believe that Covid does not exist? What else could be meant by "denier?"
I work overnight in a gas station ( here now in fact) if you come in here at 2:00 and 3:00 a.m. with a mask on and a hoodie and the only thing that's visible is your eyes. Anyone with common sense would be a little bit nervous and wonder what the hell you're up to. But now it's considered "normal" to mask your identity in public, thanks to the magic face rag that's going to save the planet.
I'm surprised you see so many people wearing masks. I did see some delivery people wearing masks in their vans about a year ago at the height of Delta. I think the just didn't want to take it on and off. Maybe it's sort of stupid like heroin chic. Because I think you guys are pushing for the wrong things. The middle class is sinking beneath the waves in this country and the focus is on masks? Really?
The actual stats are 6,787,832 deaths worldwide and that’s a vast underestimation. There were 1,141,862 deaths in the US. The pandemic is going to have political, economic, and health ramifications for years. There is also the problem of continually having to correct the misinformation that some uninformed members so easily spread around. Now, they are trying to censor discussions because they just don’t understand the long term ramifications of the virus. Maybe they should choose to ignore the sub-forum because really they have nothing to add.
Okay. Pols mandated masks to prevent hospitals from being overrun with covid patients. The smarter move was to restrict large gatherings like conventions, sporting events, church services, dining indoors when the goal was to protect hospital capacity. What a lot of anti-mask, anti-restrictions type still don't understand is we were at risk of losing our healthcare system for lack of staff. A lot of older healthcare workers quit rather than risk their health or that of their family members.
The sub-forum is a reminder of a societal discussion we haven't finished and one that will inevitably end with a rejection of their I-got-my-right-to-do-what-I-want-when-I-want thinking. Many of these same folks are part of the rapidly disappearing middle class and should be laser focused on changing the way our economic system works so they can earn enough money to better take care of themselves and their families. Republicans who want to gut Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Obamacare, disability payments, SNAP ... they're by far the more important adversary.
It still doesn't change the fact that you have kids and people running around all night and want basically amounts to a ski mask which doesn't do a damn thing for any virus
Depends on wat kind of mask. If it's a bandana or poorly made and loosely fitting kn95, then masks may not help much to prevent transmission. But if we had a whole city properly and diligently wearing a well fitted n95 mask? I firmly believe infection rates would be significantly diminished. I worw an n95 in 2020, 2021, 2022. Never got infected. 2023 i switched to much looser and thinner kn95 and....i catch it. Coincidence? Maybe not.
I never wore a mask except for inside of places that required it and I did not catch it and I'm unvaccinated.
Sub forum not going anywhere. Meanwhile my rapid test now shows a very weak positive. Most of my symptoms are gone. Research shows that vaccines plus natural immunity should keep me relatively safe for the next 6 months.
We need these forums for one important reason: To inform everyone about the danger of accepting the covid shots (aka 'clot shots'). The fact is that there's no scientific basis for the existence of a 'virus', let alone a 'pathogenic' or 'contagious' one. So there's no issue about anyone being hurt/killed by a virus. But even if people remain stubborn and cling to the belief that viruses exist, they can be hurt/killed by the vaccines proffered to 'fight' the fictitious virus. There are simply too many hurt & killed by the new vaccines—some bio-statisticians even estimating at least 13 million vaccine-induced deaths worldwide. If I were to make a guess, I'd say it is a lot more. And that's not counting deaths caused by the standard list of pre-pandemic vaccines.
Good question! Two years ago when it began the herd was pretty much in full stampede. As predicted by Charles Mackay nearly 2 centuries ago, men recover their senses slowly, and only one by one. IMO most of the herd is no longer irrational about the phantom virus, most of the herd now realizes the shots are bioweapons. However distorted, life goes on. The administrative state and perpetrators of the Plandemic are now perceived as the criminals they are. Sooner or later the mods will adjust accordingly, one by one.
It doesn't offend anybody. It just puzzles people that someone would wear a mask after learning that they aren't effective against viruses.
It puzzles you? Maybe I'm a bigger student of human behavior than you. It doesn't puzzle me at all. Men go mad in herds, but recover their senses slowly, and only one by one. The perpetrators conducted simultaneously a psy-op to "scare the pants off them" as Mr. Hancock of Britain has recently be exposed as having said in emails, thereby causing widespread irrational behavior, AND bioterror by way of bioweapons, toxic serums which the herds stood in line to receive. Diabolical for sure, but easy to perceive for me.
A lot who are still sleeping don't want to look for or read news like that. They want to remain in the false nightmare.
