I see you remain determined to keep hammering the square peg of the facts into the round hole of your idiotic premise.
    No, I wasn't.

Then why was there a bible where you were living???
In this country we are all exposed to Christianity in one form or another.

Yes, one is more likely to encounter the truth of God's plan of salvation here than in Pakistan, which is why Jesus issued the Great Commission. What is that supposed to prove?

There is a huge number of people in the US ignorant of the basics of Christianity, many know just enough to be inoculated against it.

Right...because YOUR god happens to be the 'right' god. That's a coincidence isn't it? That you're always born into the right god. Isn't that lucky that you're born into the right god. All those others are going to hell but not you...you were born into the right god so you're going to heaven.

Lots of people are born with great wealth or other natural advantages. Because there are competing ideas of gods means they can't all be right, or they could all be wrong, but it doesn't mean one can't be objectively right. I'm sure about mine because I have a relationship with the person of Jesus Christ, as do millions of others. That counts as evidence, my friend.

Wait....you believing you have a relationship with a person who doesn't exist is "evidence"? Alrighty then....

    No, I don't have a relationship with a Person who doesn't exist.

Speaking of logic, is there are reason the OP word 'overtaken' was spelled wrong?

Do you see and talk to christ and he sees and talks back to you?

I pray and can feel His presence and guidance, my wife met him in a real way in her conversion experience. Many Muslims are coming to faith in Christ by similar visions:

Never. There's not much interest in logic.

God-based religions will only be replaced by the religious adherence to secular ideologies.

What would be sufficient proof for you that some are having such visions from God? Do you want to see them in a lab?

You’ve been conditioned to believe if something happens it was because you asked god for it.

Prayer isn't just asking for things, and not everything we pray for happens. Thank goodness, as I look back on my life. You didn't answer my question.

I assumed it was a rhetorical question. How can you prove that you believe you have a relationship with an invisible being? You can't of course. Just as I can't actually prove I had an imaginary friend when I was 5 yrs old. The difference of course is I grew out of that. Just as I grew out of believing in Santa Claus, Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy.

Is anyone claiming the last three are real? A lot of people when 5 yrs old believe in those three, and they have a 5 year old view of God. Unfortunately, when they grow up many keep that 5 year old view of God.

I can't 'prove' my world view and you can't prove yours, but I think mine is much more likely true than not.

I believe so. And you believe your world-view, one among many, is the 'right' one. There are differing kinds of skeptics, i.e. atheist, agnostic, deist, etc. Does that mean none can be right?

I'm just commenting on how lucky you were to have been born into the 'right' god. How unfortunate for everyone else born into the 'wrong' god

I disagree. If you look at the least religious countries (aside from those that actively repress religion) they have something in common. A stable trusted government, strong social safety net, little inequity and low crime. The most religious nations generally have unstable corrupt governments with a large amount of social inequality.
The non-religious in the least religious countries have not moved on to "secular Ideologies" anymore than the religious in those countries they just seem to not need religion anymore.

Absolutely. Speculations can be anywhere from obviously stupid to highly likely. It's just that pumping a speculation as the truth is a mistake.

That's what I've been saying right along, in a realm where there are no facts to work with one persons speculative efforts are as good as another's, and it all boils down to what you choose to believe. That is to say it is based not on evidence because there is none but upon faith.

Yes - that is where I disagree.

Science includes methods that allow progress in understanding of how things in our universe work. In that process, speculation is followed by significant and continuing testing - NOT by "belief" or "faith" in the sense used by philosophy and religion. It does NOT "boil down to what you choose to believe".

Anyone who decides not to progress beyond speculation in that process and who chooses instead to "believe" or "have faith" is making a gigantic mistake.
