The issue is not the validity of the national emergency act.

The issue is that Trump wrongly wants the Executive to wrongly take on the purse strings of the government, which in fact belongs to Congress.

That will not happen. It will go to court first and Trump will lose.

 

Pentagon just announced it's found almost $13 bn dollars to place at Trump's disposal. Trump will prevail quickly, and (D)'s know it. The SCOTUS only has to affirm the prescribed constitutional remedy that has already failed. (D) congress failed to pass a veto proof resolution. End of story.

 

I trust SCOTUS will reject the President's affirmation of expanded executive power.

Sandy, do you think when congress votes on spending for the military they cast seperate votes of certain dollar amounts for 1/2 fine thread bolts and 3/8 left hand thread self locking nuts?
