That is pure B.S. I believe part of your problem is you base your reality on media coverage. This is laughable and pure Trumpian. In other words, my problem is, I am aware of what is happening in the world. I would be more informed if I were less informed.

That is what you believe, which is why you are filled with B.S. and can't deal with posts like this one. I came pretty close to the truth there at the end. You are speaking of anarchy.

Trump's fans continue to avoid this issue.

Trump recently declared a national emergency for the expressed purpose of going around Congress to get funding for his wall. Because Congress denied those funds twice and they have sole power of the purse, that is a direct attack on our Constitution.

Trump's fans totally ignore that issue and, instead, insist that the President has the power to declare a national emergency. That is easy to say. No one is questioning that. Saying it is a ludicrous attempt to hide from the real issue.

The fact remains, Trump Republicans in Congress voted to weaken the powers of Congress by granting the executive branch the power of the purse, proving once again that Trump Republicans are not conservatives.

Liberals delight in changing the Constitution. Conservatives are strict Constitutionalists, and they accept what the Framers wrote without question.

For that reason, Trump Republicans in Congress who voted to weaken the powers of Congress have remained totally silent about their vote. They are embarrassed to be supporting Trump on this issue.

Trump's fans have to be disheartened by this. Lawmakers who support Trump are unable to say so. What could be more embarrassing of their undying loyalty to Trump?

Unless, of course, they are anarchists. Unless one has been living on Mars for the past two years, one knows Trump is a buffoon and lately he has been acting much a like a paranoid schitzophrenic.

But as Trump bumbles his way at the head of our government, anarchists have to be pleased. There is evidence of that in the postings on PF. Many are pleased with Trump's performance as evidenced by their unwillingness to recognize a Constitutional crisis when they see one.

If it’s BS prove your claim. I’ve asked you to back up your claims you are more knowledgeable than Trump on every issue. I’ve asked how you know about realities of illegal immigration and how these realities affect Americans. Saying I’m full of BS is not an intelligent argument Sandy.

The thing is you aren’t aware of the world. You are only aware of the parts of it media and whoever else feeds you propaganda want you to be aware of.

Prove me wrong. Show me you have some practical working knowledge of the subject beyond CNN Et Al.

I have not spoken of anarchy.
I left the party because Republicans in Congress are disingenuous frauds. They put themselves in a terrible position promising things to the voter they never intended to deliver. They never foresaw a scenario where they would have to deliver. Trump blew that up by taking action on issues only given lip service to in the past. Republicans in Congress can’t tell Trump to pound sand and remain in positions of power and financial enrichment.

Having taken the exact same position you do on this issue(lip service to immigration reform) forces them to do things both you and they don’t like. But I have no sympathy for you or them. It’s a situation of your making. You claim the party as yours. You share their beliefs. You are eating your own.

Again, the Constitutional crisis is the lack of border security (a WALL specifically at this point among other things) not Trump’s attempts at providing said security. The Constitutional crisis is the defrauding of the American people for the last few decades by politicians putting their thirst for power ahead of carrying out their constitutional duties. You are rearranging chairs on the Titanic, completely ignoring reality all around you.

So tell me some more I’m full of BS and I’m a Trumpian. Or post something else about Trump’s tweets. I’m game for either.

You have a point. Labels are a funny thing -like when you have a group of people calling themselves Republicans - who hate the principles of Republicanism ... or the group that call themselves Liberals - who hate Classical Liberalism.

What a fine pickle in which we find ourselves.

On this we agree (bold) but for different reasons. Red Establishment hates Republicanism ... that's why I can not stomach them. Same on the blue side .. the side that hates Classical Liberalism.

Trump is what Trump is .. what he is not is someone who believes in Republicanism.

I think we agree on Trump. He isn’t ideologically driven. He’s a man of action that wants to see results.

Don’t you think Congress mostly uses ideology as a shield from voter scrutiny? I don’t think most of them really care about anything but themselves especially after being part of the system for a while and realizing what can be gained personally from holding office.

I think there are a few exceptions on all sides.

There are a few exceptions but, few and far between. Our system is a "pay to play" system. If you play along with the Establishment international financiers - you get paid - and everyone knows it.

Do we really think Hillary gets 250 K a pop for 15 min speech at wall street luncheon on the basis of her good looks and charming personality ? Really .. is that what we believe ? Of course not ... its for a job well done. It is the natural outcropping of self interest and greed.

Sure there are long voices from time to time that call out bad behavior. For example - price fixing of drugs and other healthcare products or the "Stop Arming Terrorist Act - a bipartisan bill put forward because Obama was arming and supporting Al Qaeda and ISIS in Syria.

Everyone then points to that one voice and says "look look - we have freedom of speech in this nation - what a good system we have". That lone voice is then quickly drowned out by the cacophony on the take. It is the natural outcropping of self interest and greed.

Would you be the one to shoot the goose laying the golden eggs .. run against a herd of stampeding bulls ? Even if that is the case you are not going to get very far if everyone else is running the opposite direction - nor is this politically expedient.

It is not like there is some "Star Chamber" or Cabal. That's not how it works. There are numerous big money interests and often these interests conflict.

Like in physics - if you have forces pushing on a ball in opposite directions - the ball goes nowhere. It is when the forces line up in the same direction that the ball moves in the direction of that force.

The place to look is not at the "hot button" issues (Abortion, gay marriage, guns, immigration and so on). The Establishment does not give a hoot about those things. The Establishment is interested in advancing its economic interests and maintaining power and the status quo.

The hot button issues serve a useful purpose in that they keep the people divided .. and thus are kept alive for as long as possible.

The place to look is to the things on which the Establishment agrees - this is the source of the true sodomy - from both ends - left and right. This is the natural outcropping of self interest and greed.

Trump is an Establishment soldier through and through - although one that is too out of control in terms of his mouth. He was bailed out of bankruptcy from the elite of the elite of international financiers (which include national oligarchs) that run this nation. He has enacted numerous policies that are favorable to this crowd.

    I agree...

The Dems are not paying attention to the difference between the GOP-E and the Trump Conservative movement.

Trump has once again rolled out his Clausewitz political playbook and the Left still doesn't understand what he is doing and why Trump is going to beat them even worse in 2020.

The Leftist think tank academics have no clue about Clausewitz because they abandoned Clausewitz's genius decades ago.

Trump is 100% embracing the platform of running against SOCIALISM. How frickin' stupid are the Dems for priming his pump?

Good post. If more people felt this way we could again have government of, by and for the people.

I’m not sure about Trump though. If he’s just another one of them why so much hate? Do you ascribe it to the ketchup on steak?

Frick - that ketchup on the stake thing alone should disqualify Trump :) Joking - kind of - but it is very weird.

The Establishment is not some unified cabal or star chamber. There are numerous competing interests. Obviously many of those interests do not like Trump. Perhaps it is a "bull in a China Shop thing". That said .. just because Saudi Arabia cut ties with Bin Laden does not change the fact that they are both extremist Salafi Islamists = share the exact same ideology.

That there are competing interests within the establishment does not mean that these interests are not on the same page with respect to the major agenda items. The question one should be asking is "what are those items". I already discussed the "Hot Button Issues" - obviously it is not that.

Both Red and Blue Establishment hate the founding principles - 1) Individual liberty is "Above" the legitimate authority of Gov't 2) consent of the Governed.

With respect to 1) they hate limitations to Gov't power -Govt is not supposed to have any legitimate authority to mess with individual liberty - of its own volition. The Gov't can appeal to "we the people" it if wants to make some law but, this is supposed to require an overwhelming majority - not 50+1 or Simple Majority Mandate (that because some leader gets elected that leader has some mandate on that basis).

Both Republicanism and Classical liberalism refer to this as "Tyranny of the Majority". Any law messing with individual liberty should require at least 2/3rds majority consent.

That is the whole point of a Republic
Question ? - why is it that SCOTUS can not figure out Political Science 101 ? Somehow we have fallen so far down the slippery slope we can no longer see the mountain top .. why and how this happened is for another post if you are interested - in a word "Utilitarianism".

Red and Blue establishment hate limitations to Gov't power .. the keep increasing it towards a quazi totalitarian police state.

The Land of the Free, Home of the Brave - is now the land of those on their knees begging to give up essential liberty for temporary security - over a risk of harm that is 400 times less than the risk of harm from walking.

It is now our "Patriotic Duty" to give up essential liberty. What happened to "Give me liberty or Give me Death" ? What happened to "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase temporary security - deserve neither liberty nor security"

The founders knew well the age old trick of using fear of a foreign threat to get the public to trade liberty for security. That's why the above safeguards were put in place - safeguards that are now being systematically dismantled.

Stalin knew well this trick - he called his program "Security for the Motherland"
Hitler did the same "Fatherland Security".

Bush - lacking the creative ability to come up with a new name "Homeland Security" - Using Fear of a foreign threat to get the public to trade liberty for security.

Obama change the name to the Equally Orwellian doublespeak - "Freedom Act" Fk me.. whats this now.

During the NSA en mass spying scandal - when the head of the NSA lied to congress (felony 1) about en mass spying on US citizens (Felony 2) .. Obama defended the NSA saying "If we want increased Security .. we have to give a little"

Almost fell out of my chair when I heard that one.. Now perhaps we can give Bush a pass for not knowing the founding principles but, Obama ? - a Harvard Constitutional Scholar and civil rights "champion" ?

Obama knew exactly what he was saying - that it was a complete 180 from everything he believe in - yet he said it anyway.

Obama went after those who would out Gov't crimes like no President before - and I am talking those who tried to go through legitimate channels. If you want to lose your rose colored glasses .. watch this -

Trump is a true "Law and Order" champion .. increasing police powers - no problem. Going after Assange (freedom of speech and whistle blowers ) no problem. Censorship - getting rid of net neutrality - no problem.

The Establishment hates fair and free markets - they love Oligopolies complete with price fixing, collusion and anti competitive practices.

One of the groups that bailed Trump out was the Rothschild consortium- the dude that did the actual bailing out - as Senior Manager of the Rothschild entity - is Wilbur Ross - now our commerce Secretary in an act of hardcore quid pro quo.

Trump is an elitist - a Social Darwinist = Eugenics adherent (not to be confused with Hitler) - he does not give a hoot about the raging masses because they are "genetically unfit" and tampering with the lower class - giving them a hand up would be to mess with the "natural order".

Reagan and Thatcher some other well known adherents but this the elitist ideology in general. The last thing these folks want is for the little people to exercise power.

Our leaders are not "selected" not "elected".

Unlike Democrats Republicans do not allow anyone including the Republican Party to define us. But, we are here. We need to look at the Democrats and how they protest and work together to push their agenda, and Yes we need to do what they do and start protests and attacking them as they have always done us.
They, the democrats have become much beyond Socialists. IMO they are virtually Communists.they accuse Repubs of the very things they have done for decades. Now they , in an attempt to win offices, including the Presidency, they are attempting to do away with the Electoral College, allow illegal immigrants to vote, and make the voting age 16. Really? We must stop this insanity and go against our position of allowing them to protest and voice their opinions and attempt to brainwash our student. And we must go to the streets in protest as they do. They are the masters of the spin.
