For me, your post illustrates a problem that we face. Imo very few issues can be reduced to simple liberal vs conservative

For example. I support a balanced budget when the economy is strong... like now. But also support deficits during recessions like 2008.

I support the police... but do not support shooting someone in the back with 9 bullets and then claiming it was necessary for self defense.

I support border security.... including walls when it is the best option
I do not support building a wall just to placate a political faction. Nor do i support building a wall in response to an ultimatum

Sure it's not all black and white but that's how most people look at solving the issues it seems. Or at least they tow the party lines when it comes to most issues. People that are moderate/independent/centrist are more likely to be impartial and objective about the issues.

    1. Fiscal Issues, Economy, Taxes, Regulations, Corporations, Deficit, Budget
I am for small government, low tax/regulation
    2. Healthcare
I am mixed between universal healthcare and people being responsible for their own healthcare costs or insurance
    3. Immigration
    Anti immigration, pro wall
    4. Social Issues: Abortion, Gay Marriage, Affirmative Action etc.
Anti affirmative action, mixed on abortion and gay marriage. Anti- political correctness
    5. Military, Terrorism
Strong military, profiling and spying on citizens is necessary
    6. Police, Crime, Law, Gun Control
We need stricter laws: China is executing drug dealers while we are calling them non violent and releasing them. Pro 2nd Amendment. Pro profiling/stop and frisk.
    7. Environment
One issue I tend to be liberal on. Environment is very important and Republicans really need to rethink this even if global warming might be overblown.

I don't see the problem. I can definitely say that on all of those issues, I'm moderately liberal with my conservatism.

    2. Police procedures
    3. Pro life
    4. Border protection
I think I pretty much consolidated the issues that I'll spend time debating. Even then I don't comment much on pro life issues and border protection.

There is much to be said for pragmatism as an antidote for ideological dogmatism.

E.g., when your nation distinguishes itself by its level of firearm carnage, or by it's astronomical cost of heath care whilst failing to provide coverage to tens of millions whose bloated expenses are routinely dumped on the taxpayer, it may be time to loosen the constraints of a rigid, theoretical political correctness, a lockstep Weltanschauung, and consider what demonstrably works better.

    ...

A mix of right and left. Very strongly opposed to collusion between government and corporations, which I see as the root cause of a lot of the current income inequality.

    I oppose most all taxes.

I oppose regulatory barriers to market entry.

I oppose cartels like the taxi industry.

Not really bothered. I dont mind Australia's system, it works alright.

I would be supportive of immigration if there were no entitlements.

I think it needs to be capped to not outpace the birth rate of the native population.

Affirmative action is racial segregation. I oppose racial segregation.

On abortion I am pretty permissive but not judgemental of the pro life. It is a valid position. That said hand me a coathanger and a few hundred bucks and I'll happily give you an abortion no problem.

Very strongly opposed to the current world order.

    Opposed to standing armies.

I agree with Machiavelli on citizen defense in a Republic. The citizenry should defend the homeland. There should be no professional armies justifying their existence with fruitless offensive wars.

Most crimes are nonsense. I would make the big stuff like murder, manslaughter, rape, GBH much more heavily punished.

Legalise all drugs for cultivation for personal use.

I support the death penalty but only if it's a .308 to the back of the head after one appeal. The electric chair is ****ing stupid and inhumane, and dragging our appeals for 20 years is legit torture. One appeal then bang, painless and 20 cents.

I support conservation only to preserve future use by humans.

To this end I dont mind fishing bag limits and the such so long as they are proportional.

    Yes.

I am firmly in favor of local autonomy and opposed to internationalism.

It is, in many ways, the only real issue.

I’m for minimal government and maximum freedom.

Government only has a few obligations, mainly to protect us from internal and external threats. Redistribution of income is not a proper government function.

I believe we should make a deal with Russia and China and take over the middle east and divide that oil amongst ourselves.

That would end a number of issues all at once.

All immigration in the world should be halted immediately.

The police need to be more proactive. I want the old days back when a cop walking the beat would take a criminal around the corner and beat the **** out of him.

It reduced the level of violence in society.

I don't like the environment, too many bugs in it and it's dirty.

Put two of each animal in a zoo and pave the rest over. Make it a giant mall.

Men should go to work every day and women should learn how to cook and raise their babies properly.

Its why God gave them smaller hands, so they can scrub inside of the toilet bowl better.
