When we need it.Yes,WE as in mankind. If ever there was an idea or convention of thought that was more important and pressing on Earth it's that we as humans are mortal and yes,we sin. Therefore connect the dots.Sin is bad and therefore should face some form of punishment or retribution by someone { God most likely }. However Mankind also suffers from retribution while still on Earth. Isis gave Society a glimpse of what Genghis Khan and his Empire wreaked upon Mankind,Arguably the Largest maimer and slaughterer of Life and limb in History. I doubt Genghis Khan thought much about an afterlife.Nor Philosophy. But a Pope has a papal responsibility to do just that. Our current Pope, The First Jesuit Pope, seems not just out of place, but rurther Ignurnt. Not good for a Pope in todays's world to suffer ignorance. Yes,many a Pope had to suffer fools, but rarely Ignorance. Pope Benedict XVI { somehow convinced into retirement } was a Philosopher. Many today fail to know that. His predecessor Pope John Paul II as saintly, reasoned and kind as Pope come was the First Non-Italian Pope. So Pope come and go.But one thing does not have an expiration date. Nor does it go off into the sunset. That is Hell. It's with us regardless if we like it or recognize it or accept it.We as humans may or may not visualize or comprehend it.But like Death it exists. No one gets out of life alive. We've just witnessed hell on Earth in the Middle East.
Where's Hell ? Right now it's in Syria but in seems to wander throughout the Middle East all the time.
There is No Hell in the New Democrat Party as well. Since Abortion On Demand has been given they're Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval.
I suppose if you make an attempt to make hell less hellish you will probably need to be there. Syria was burning LONG before the U.S. went there and the United States is certainly not responsible for what Assad is doing. Iraq and Afghanistan perhaps but not Syria, but regardless of the nation the Middle East has been hell for centuries.
We have a long rich history and committed interest in the endless destabilization of the middle east. Turns out ya just can't militarily decide the course and leadership of other nations and engage in endless occupation without getting some on ya.
Syria went to hell hell because Assad thought a firing squad was the appropriate response to tagging a wall.
Hell is either a town in Norway where it snows, or the worst kind of suffering and lawlessness you can imagine.
Well, picture a world away from wherever you are, and put yourself in their shoes, and imagine your neighbours screaming at night and young men with arms (guns/machetes, whatever) were raping and torturing and kidnapping and murdering, and the young men committing are wearing official rebel uniforms be it whatever, some gorilla warfare attire/doesn't matter, were enjoying it. That's Hell. When it's dark, and fear, and those who should protect you gain pleasure from abusing you and killing you lead by some undemocratic unholy dictatorship a world away.
Ah of course, politics. So some politic to bring you hell and others to save you from hell. I rather think you're stuck in one of your own making.
My point is we didn't start the war. There was no attempt at regime change, no propaganda efforts to sway the local politics, no sponsoring of militant subversive elements. Syria was a stable nation all the way up until Assad executed a couple of angry teens then killed the folks that showed up at the resulting protest. Everything that currently going on in Syria is a consequence of Assad's overreaction to graffiti.
Not in Syria. The closest we ever got was setting up shop in Lebanon to keep an eye on things and that ended with Reagan.
HEll is ANYWHERE that is devoid of compassion. Those that try to teach apathy, and lack of compassion ARE SATAN. Those that worship themselves, without consideration of others, are demonic. And NO, loving your family doesn't cut it.
Even if I bring them into my administration? I mean hell, I got one who could bring peace to the middle east!
Had you researched, even a little bit ... no, not snark ... kidding is all Here is Hell and it is in Michigan https://www.google.com/maps/place/H...1:0xd45079770956618a!8m2!3d42.43472!4d-83.985
I would go with Flint and it's poisoned water system which we'll all have to keep an eye on in the future now that corporate america has its sights set on the privatization of clean water to drink.
