In all truths in realities their is no "most brutal" ethnicity or religion as all ethnicities and religions go through stages of hostilities and brutalities towards others. As well as being peaceful. For example, Christianity was once seen as a very hostile religion due to the Crusade. Now, however they seem to be more peaceful as many years have gone by since the Crusade and we are instead seeing the muslim ethnicity as being a hostile group due to more recent Terrorism. A better question is which Ethnicity or Religion has been the most hostile or brutal out of them all to which I have no answer.

And Christianity does indeed have a very brutal past. The Inquisitions are a perfect example, putting to death anybody who did not follow the faith as the Inquisitors thought it should be followed.

And the Thirty Years Wars are a really horrible time in the history of Christianity, with an estimated 8 million killed (predominantly civilians).

I do care about that group of people. I was simply pointing out that their are many religions who have done these sorts of things.

As far as I can see all you seem to want to do is correct every thing I mention. I realize that all religions have but that doesn't mean I have to say it. I'd rather not offend others by stating that ALL religions or lack thereof have, including yours, have made major mistakes. However their is another piece to this. Forgiveness is a major part of human nature, for without it their would be no society as everyone (wether religious or not) has messed up at one point or another. This is why I decided to say most. as most does not imply a hostility towards any specific religions whereas all says you have poor feelings towards all of them.

Would the Rwandan Genocide count as an ethnic conflict? I would say that it was pretty brutal.

Are we going to have a contest to see which ones are the most kind? :roflol:

Who kills people in the most gentle way? THAT'S the kind of despot i want!! Enough of these brutal, sadistic tyrants!! Give us kinder, gentler tyrants who kill us mercifully! :woot:

We should pick an ideology that is merciful in it's genocide. They should be kind & apologetic while they kill us, rather than doing it with a bad attitude. :disbelief:

Sorry to but in, but what I have to say is worth saying.
All major religions have a history of forcible conversions entailing genocide. That can't be denied. But in the case of "European" Christianity, most of that behaviour died out after the Renaissance when what was believed as true increasingly was subjected to judgement by scientific proof.
In the case of other religions that is not now the case. They didn't have their own Renaissance.
With the triumph of science worldwide (nukes and ICBMs) a lot of people have a lot of catching up to do. And a lot of people are rebelling.
The heros of Islamic nations are still those who fight for their religion above all else. The flag of sunni Saudi Arabia is telling ergo so is its wealth.

Yes. It was a tribal conflict, as are most such conflicts in Africa.

Quick update: Coincidentally, China just had a East Turkestan terrorist attack killing 168 people and wounding 400. The timing could never support my case better
