He has attempted to implement many of the things he promised. Now of course he is running into the realities of the office and its actual powers. I dont like the guy but he has tried to fulfill his promises which is more then can be said for many of his predecessors.

Pretending to have a monopoly on understanding; talking down to fellow posters; trying to start a pissing contest... all of that is what is called trolling. According to one article:

"In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal, on-topic discussion,[3] often for the troll's amusement."

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll

Any dumb ass with an IQ higher than their shoe size knows there is some fencing up along the border. If there were already a wall, Trump would not want to cut entitlements to build what is already there. I'm simply against the entire idea of rebuilding the Berlin Wall along the southern border of the United States. It would cost a lot of money, create a whole new set of problems and not solve a damn thing.

The wall is not going to solve the problems, which I've agreed since the beginning. I just don't mind the idea. However, we need to end ANY benefits to illegal aliens (welfare), track it, and we need to have severe punishments to employers of illegal aliens. Why the government refuses to do this, is beyond me. We need to cut the incentives to come into the US illegally.

Did you get lost AGAIN? This thread is not about your views on immigration.

For the most part, undocumented foreigners do not get welfare. Employers, in a de jure (lawful) constitutional Republic should be able to hire whomever they damn well please and if you want to cut incentives for people to come here illegally, start a credible system whereby people can come here and work. It's pretty much that freaking simple.

He kept his promise about the US Supreme Court, which will endure well past him.

He did not keep his promise on Syria, though still has not gone as far as to order an attack on the Russian Air Force.

It's hard to say if Trump kept his promise about the Supreme Court. You'll have to see how the man casts his vote. Justice Roberts was nominated as and believed to be a conservative and he turned out to be a damn turncoat.

If you researched the Berlin wall you would find two facts:

    1. The wall was to keep people in, not out.
    2. People who tried to cross the wall were summarily shot.

Neither of those apply the the Southern border wall Trump advocates for.

So, they're going to construct a wall and if I decide to leave, I can just go? You mean a Trump wall won't keep us in? Damn... I missed that somehow. Okay, if that's true, how come I need a passport?

The anti-immigrant lobby advocates shooting undocumented foreigners as they enter the U.S. The so - called "Minutemen" which gave the people who obsess over immigration their talking points... AND not only did those people advocate it, their leaders actually DID kill people!

Nice rhetoric, but I believe what you should say, is that the Tourism Industry of the US, will have to take it. All service industries will feel this pain. Hotels, resorts, amusement parks, transportation, etc. This will hit hard, and undoubtedly jobs will be lost. We'll see where unemployment starts heading. It's not going to be pretty.

I couldn't vote in your poll -- because you left out the most important one of all -- getting a Conservative on the Supreme Court. Status -- Mission accomplished!

After that, I hope he gets another Justice on the SCOTUS, and that may happen. Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been around since the sinking of the Spanish Armada and it's past time for her to go!

It's true that Merrick Garland's seat has gone to a rabid corporatist. If that's the sort of thing you like, you should be very happy.

As we all know, the first promise (on your list) that he kept was the travel ban. He did it, and it was in effect for a little while before leftist judges screwed that up for him. But now that Gorsuch is in, the case can proceed to the SCOTUS to be reinstated.
