If you need to tell yourself that, I see no reason why you can't.

    Lolwut? :roflol:

    1) Pelosi = One of the Most Distinguished House Speakers in U.S. History

    2) Cotton = A Raging Conspiratorial Tinfoil Hat

Under what Metric are you defining the term "miles ahead"?

"miles ahead" in the race NOT to be taken seriously?

    Then, I would agree.

    Good lookin' out.:salute:

Pelosi = a partisan political hack for the far left. Generally considered to be a dingbat by Americans not on the far left.

Cotton = Educated at Harvard (undergraduate & law school), Captain in the U.S. Army (where he was awarded the bronze star), generally considered to be extremely intelligent, and the first person in Washington (along with Liz Cheney) to identify coronavirus as a threat.

The virus experts in wuhan knew about this virus for they were workinh with it along with its bat carriers. It probably escaped from the lab. Then came the doctor whistle blowers. Where are they today? Dead?

Some of these Chinese have consumed bats for years ! This virus achieved bat to human transmission recently. Did that happen in that lab ? Or naturally ?

Trump was so thoroughly duped by Xi that he not only praised him effusively. He failed miserably to deal with the crisis even after knowledgeable folks had managed to clue him in:

Trump scrambled from dismissing and minimizing the threat posed to Americans by the coronavirus to fancying himself a wartime president.”

But until mid-March, new reports reveal, he was planning to send the army into battle with only a fraction of the weapons and armor they’d need.

The Associated Press reported that the government largely failed to place bulk orders of N95 respirator masks, ventilators, and other medical equipment vital to those treating coronavirus patients until mid-March, according to federal purchasing contracts. The Trump administration had received its first briefing about the outbreak in China on January 3.

On March 12, the day before Trump finally declared a national emergency due to the pandemic, the Department of Health and Human Services placed its first bulk order with 3M for $4.8 million worth of N95 masks. Nine days later, when there were over 30,000 confirmed cases in the country, it placed a larger second order for $173 million. Those masks would be added to the national stockpile, which was created in 1999 in anticipation of potential effects from the Y2K computer bug and expanded following 9/11.

But, the AP reported, the mid-March contracts signed by the federal government and 3M don’t require the company to begin delivering the masks until the end of April — after the White House’s forecasts predict the pandemic will have peaked...

Trump's failure to order equipment until it was far too late to mitigate much of the damage is consistent with the denial and dysfunction that has plagued his regime’s response....

They might have been concerned that all international travel along with all borders would have been locked down on Jan. 1, 2020, and that is what should have happened.

On January 14th WHO was declaring there was no evidence of human-to-human transfer.

    World Health Coronavirus Disinformation
WHO’s bows to Beijing have harmed the global response to the pandemic.

"Taiwanese officials warned WHO on Dec. 31 that they had seen evidence that the virus could be transmitted human-to-human. But the agency, bowing to Beijing, doesn’t have a normal relationship with Taiwan. On Jan. 14 WHO tweeted, “Preliminary investigations conducted by the Chinese authorities have found no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission.” The agency took another week to reverse that misinformation.

On Jan. 22-23 a WHO emergency committee debated whether to declare Covid-19 a “public health emergency of international concern.” The virus already had spread to several countries, and making such a declaration would have better prepared the world. It should have been an easy decision, despite Beijing’s objections. Yet director-general Tedros Ghebreyesus declined and instead traveled to China.

He finally made the declaration on Jan. 30—losing a week of precious time—and his rhetoric suggests the trip to Beijing was more about politics than public health. “The Chinese government is to be congratulated for the extraordinary measures it has taken,” he said. “I left in absolutely no doubt about China’s commitment to transparency.”

A University of Southampton study suggests the number of coronavirus cases could have been reduced by 95% had China moved to contain the virus three weeks sooner. Yet Dr. Tedros gushed that Beijing had set “a new standard for outbreak response.” He also praised the speed with which China “sequenced the genome and shared it with WHO and the world.” China didn’t do so until Jan. 12."

We need to end funding to WHO and form our own alliances to deal with global health matters. Like other UN agencies they cannot be trusted to deal properly with the free world and rathe support despotic dictators and oppressive societies.

WHO is not bow to anyone, it was preliminary study, no one know the characteristics of the virus back then, there were even case where it was misdiagnosis as FLU. you honestly belief scientist able learn everything about this virus in a week or a month lol, thats not how science work, and its not like in a movie, you can whip something up in a matter of days. heck trump was calling a flu for at least 2 week, and saying it will be gone in couple weeks.

go do some math, we know incubation is 2-14 day, take about total 20 day for ppl to goto hosipital etc. just by back tracking we already know when it started, unless you want dispute against Math ;) There are scientific model on how to back track the virus base on its data and lag time, go search for it, doesn't require a PHD to understand it, just some basic math

China knew and they covered it up and WHO facilitated it. Do you think Trump has some kind of telegenic power or something. We, the world, could only go by what China and WHO were reporting it turns out it was lies and a cover up. Why do you defend them?

I don't need to search for it. My nurses were sick from this long before anyone knew what it was. High fever, respiratory issues, GI issues, NEGATIVE influenza tests. Let us healthcare professionals do the math. Not the wannabee MSM.

~ There are many that would argue W.H.O. is in the pocket of China. A look into the suspicious background of Tedros Adhanom is an indication.
~ We really do not know all the "facts". We do know that Asia was the first to be infected and there was an intentional delay by China in sounding the alarm. W.H.O. praised China - not S Korea

It's weird how some folks in America happily parrot Chinese propaganda as "fact."

WHY, IT’S ALMOST AS THOUGH TRUMP HAD BEEN RIGHT ABOUT CHINA ALL ALONG:

US contribute to WHO the most, if they bow, they would bow to US, also WHO has CDC expert in it. china did delay about a month due to mishandling and mess up, but that doesn't give Trump excuse of lax attitude in jan/feb. Also WHO did praise SK and singapore. SK got its 1st case same time as US said it got its 1st case, do a google.

lol they just donate 1000 ventilator to NYC. its simple factory over there is not OWN by the 3M etc, they partner up with factory to make stuff. Just like Apple subcontract Foxconn to make iphone, but doesn't own Foxconn
also why would they not export PPE and other medical supplies? its basically printing money, the cost of PPE and other med supplies is 4-10 time now. and china does love $$$, basically NY and other state have a bidding war on these orders in US/China and elsewhere.

Around the same time that China cracked down on PPE exports, official data shows that it imported 2.46 billion pieces of “epidemic prevention and control materials” between Jan. 24 and Feb. 29.

The gear, valued at nearly $1.2 billion, included more than 2 billion masks and more than 25 million “protective clothing” items that came from countries in the European Union, as well as Australia, Brazil and Cambodia.

“Data from China’s own customs agency points to an attempt to corner the world market in PPE like gloves, goggles, and masks through massive increased purchases — even as China, the world’s largest PPE manufacturer, was restricting exports,” the official said.

Michael Wessell, a founding member of the federal US-China Economic and Security Review Commission, confirmed the situation and said the Chinese maneuvering had left American hospitals “starved of PPE to fight this crisis.”

“We understand that China has engaged in policies to try and not only develop its own capabilities, but to do so at expense of producers around the world,” said Wessell, formerly a top staffer to ex-US Rep. Dick Gephardt (D-Missouri).

Beijing was trying to corner the world market in personal protective equipment.
