No my husband is not wrong because I am talking about 35 years ago. 35 years ago I would look down on the trading floor and not see a black person and the women were secretaries.-But you are right now you see plenty of minorities doing that and it didn’t happen in a vacuum. My has trained an African-American guy who later opened his own firm and my husband helped set it up.
When you go into a store do you get followed around? That’s white privilege. When you have a cab do you expect to get picked up without any problem? That’s white privilege. Do people view you with suspicion because of your race? That’s white privilege. I bet you don’t think there’s male privilege either

Well there’s no arguing with someone who doesn’t believe there is a black prejudice. There is no arguing with someone who doesn’t understand the concept of defining black people as inferior for generations has an impact. And don’t tell me that I can’t refute facts.
As a woman I didn’t have the opportunities men had when I grew up. That was male privilege. Males were able to go to the best networking colleges like Harvard and Yale. Women were denied access. I can give you tons of examples but it’s a waste of time. You think that because the laws change that peoples attitudes change immediately. You try and use “logic” but totally lack psychological insight

I live in Bellevue wa. A middle, to upper middle class community.
we have more Asians here than black, but I do have black neighbors and friends..
They have 2 parents, 2.4 kids, homeowners, employed, usually at Microsoft or another high tech. outlet.

These people don't even express views like yours, they are too concerned with living their lives, raising their families, and fitting in with the neighborhood.
The blacks in my neighborhood don't even associate with the inner city blacks, not even the ghetto blacks who live here with low income housing,
almost like they are another race altogether.
another giveaway is that they all speak English.
