Nothing wrong with being a passive extremist - who cares what someone thinks as long as they don't force those thoughts on others.

For example: I couldn't care less if someone thinks we should have a global caliphate (an extreme position) if the most radical action they're willing to take to accomplish this is leafleting and writing to the local newspaper.

FatBack is my favorite here; we don't always agree on everything but he's respectful and will listen to what you have to say.

That is nice, really. If respect was only given by all.

    Seconded.
One of the nicest, most genuine, right wing nut jobs here.
I'd spend a day kayaking down river drinking beers with him given the chance.
There are plenty of things to talk about apart from politics.

I won't float out names, but I recently discovered the "people you follow" function on here, and I am a big fan of it. It's better than the ignore function IMO.

When you see someone you disagree with making sense and being respectful and you want more of that instead of the regular spitting matches we often see, you can click their name and " follow".

Then you can later click your own name and "people you follow".

There are a few I like and myself included, and some I avoid -- no ignore button just ignore them.:blahblah::clapping::gop:

I'm about to meet and have beers with a high school classmate who is more left of center than I am right of center, and I frankly dread it. Politics is always lurking just below the surface.

cloud9.gif ~ Everyone likes FatBack because he is not a fake, freak or finipulator as most are on internet discussion websites. He tells the truth about himself and accepts who he is without excuses.
No false exaggeration about "a six figure income", "great negotiation skills", bragging about how "we" make vaccines for viruses, claims of being in healthcare for 30 years without knowledge of what the purpose of a face mask and vaccines actually is, no drama like " I have PTSD because of Trump " , etc. etc ...
He is part of the 35% in society that use logic, reasoning and common sense to make decisions and form opinions .

The guy is a welcome breath of fresh air in an environment of thought pollution. :w00t:

    This thread still going?

I thought I would pay homage to the best preacher on this forum:
