Who do you think have been "the best" with whom Trump has surrounded himself? Michael Cohen? Paul Manafort? Michael Flynn? George Papadopoulos? Anthony Scaramucci? Corey Lewandowski? Rob Porter? H R McMaster? Sebastian Gorka? Bam Bam Bannon? Ronny Jackson? Tom Price? Rex Tillerson? Stormy Daniels? Rudy Giuliani? Scott Pruitt?
Judge Neil Gorsuch Gen. John F. Kelly Sarah Sanders To name 3 the OPer kept off the list and notably did not invite naming any others than those he selected.
Rex Tillerson took his job seriously and I believe conducted himself well. Gorsuch does not count since he is not "around" Trump though if that is the only lasting thing Trump leaves us it was enough. He is a great addition to the court.
Doesn't really matter who he surrounds himself with. He calls the shots, nobody else does. From what I'm seeing, Trump doesn't need much advice. He's got his own plan laid out already and plans to follow it. He may ask for clarification on some things but I doubt he is sitting there with no idea what to do in a situation. Trump has never been a consensus builder. We've all sorts of different types of presidents. Carter and Kennedy were consensus builders. Reagan had long term goals in mind and didn't care how he got there, as long as we did. FDR wasn't anything, he simply did everything that presented itself to him. Basically he threw everything against the wall and whatever stuck he went with. I'd say out of all the presidents that Lincoln and John Adams are of the same breed as Trump as far as the importance of who they surround themselves. Half of John Adams advisors ended up quitting and declaring he was unfit to serve.
That Pruitt was one of Trump's best! His absconding puts a great deal of pressure on Giuliani to maintain the standard!
