I don't know what the argument is from the other side - which is why I asked the question.
What is the argument from the other side - and why is this argument idiotic ?

The argument by some clown on this board was that both U.S. wars against Iraq, the quasi conflict with Iran, and every bit of foreign aide we've given to Egypt, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Lebanon was done at the behest of Israel to protect and secure it.

Thus they claim that fighting for Israel has cost the U.S. thousands of troops and trillions of dollars.

Trump is going to tout what ever line the Establishment tells him too.

Gabbard had a few choice words to say about Trump's response ---
Gabbard ramps up Trump criticism: 'We are not prostitutes. You are not our pimp'

    https://thehill.com/homenews/campai...ticism-we-are-not-prostitutes-you-are-not-our

    Gabbard is right.

None of the above have any ability to take down Trump.

What are the arguments that support the above claim .. and why are these arguments idiotic. It is not some secret that US foreign policy is in lock step with that of Israel.. not that this supports the above claim .. but, what are the arguments in support of the above claim.

I would strongly disagree that U.S. foreign policy is in "lock step" with that of Israel. Any more than our foreign policy is in lockstep with other allies like United Kingdom, Japan, or Australia.

I remember the early 1980s strongly when the Reagan Admin. decided to sell E-3 Sentry airborne early warning planes to Saudi Arabia. The Israeli lobby strongly opposed this action and fought the Reagan Admin. hard in the U.S. Senate to deny the sale but the Reagan Admin. persisted and the sale was approved and went forward.

In addition I'm pretty sure Israel has opposed the U.S. supplying more advanced arms to Egypt and Saudi Arabia yet the U.S. still does it.

Ms. Gabbard has allowed her Hinduism to interfere with her brain housing group.

What this National Guard REMF doesn't understand, when you serve in the U.S. military you have no freaking say so what wars you will be fighting.

When I was 18 years old I wanted to come charging out of a LCVP landing craft onto some coral atoll island beachhead and kill Japs.

Instead the Democrats took away my M-14 and gave me a M-16 and sent me to some exotic land in Southeast Asia to meet some exciting and unusual commie gooks with AK-47s and kill them.

The citizen soldier no matter which country they come from only want to fight the big war.
But it rarely ever happens that way.

I'm not sure that Reagan has much to do with Foreign Policy throughout the full time period under discussion. What does this have to do with the arguments made which claim we lost lives on behalf of Israel - I don't recall any lives being lost in that era either.

You stated some arguments that were made claiming that we lost lives on behalf of Israel - and you said these arguments were idiotic.

I asked you what those arguments were. The above does not give any of the arguments -

Of course they understand that .. what a ridiculous comment. It is precisely because our Soldiers "have no say" that we do not want our leaders putting them in harms way unnecessarily - like happened in the Iraq War - like in Afghanistan for 18 years - like being pimped out to the will of Saudi Arabia.

You still have not answered my question - Are you for the 1) Houthi's or are you for 2) club Al Qaeda - or do you think 3) we should just let those two duke it out on their own ?

If you are for 1 or 3 - then you should agree that we should not be pimping our Military out to the Saudi's.

The soldiers are sent into conflicts by the civilian government that we the people elected to make those decisions for the nation. They never have gotten to vote up or down on any of those deployments and they never will. When the military starts dictating terms and commitment we will no longer be who we are, we will be Venezuela North.

Israel benefited because the events of the day laid the groundwork for AUMF, which is the foundation of the Global War Of Terror, which greatly assists military aggression against most of Israel's enemies. US troops die for the advancement of Greater Israel.

That's pretty indirect..and I am not a fan of Israel, but I think one has to be careful about such accusations. If all you got is a hammer, everything begins to look like a nail.

Either Houthis or AQ is ridiculous.. Yemen has been invaded by a number of jihadis groups since 1998.. to include Boko Haram, Al Shabaab, and assorted Somali pirates. They are all bad guys and gangsters. The Saudis know that even if you do not.

That is a reasonable answer, but that you are unaware of Israeli involvement in the events of 9/11 means only that you are uninformed and likely misinformed in that regard.

If you are curious about that, you should spend some time reading the work of Christopher Bollyn.

    Oh No.. Not that one!

Encyclopedia of American Loons: #32: Christopher Bollyn
    americanloons.blogspot.com/2010/06/32...
As 9/11-troofers go, Christopher Bollyn is in at the deep end. A self-proclaimed “independent American investigative journalist ”, Bollyn is for the most part a contributor to the despicable cesspool of lunacy whale.to, but many interesting articles can be found on his webpage. Among the gems are articles with enticing titles such as “The Israeli Role in the Plundering of Iceland”, “How Ehud Barak Pulled Off 9-11”, “The Goldman Scam & John Paulson's Links to 9-11”, “The ...

You are very much swayed by government propaganda Margot.

Bollyn is rather like Assange--one who reveals the crimes of government. That makes him Public Enemy #2. Typical.

Ignorance may be YOUR thing, but it's not mine.

If I were to say what I'm for it would be deleted by the PF mod squad and I would maybe even be infracted.

Right .. which is why the civilian Gov't needs to explain why our soldiers are being pimped out to Saudi Arabia and why they are being sent to fight on the same side as Al Qaeda- fighting against those who are fighting Al Qaeda ...

On other topics you make bright and informed comments. As soon as it gets to El Saud however some kind of switch goes off in your head.

You should not be allowed to comment in any forum related to Saudi Arabia due to your well established bias, worship of anything El Saud, and habitual tendency to either make stuff up, spew falsehoods and false narratives, with respect to El Saud - and your refusal to hear information that conflicts with this narrative up to and including abject denial of reality and/or the obvious.

Al Qaeda fights against the Houthi's in Yemen - and for the Saudi's. This is a well established fact. One which has nothing to do with Somali Pirates.
