I think it's obvious, despite propagandists repeating a lie relentlessly until the mind starts believing it.

Israel as our greatest friend and ally is the most hyperbolic garbage I've ever heard.
Don't remember the Canadians ever getting caught with spies in the Pentagon, or trying to sink one of our war ships, killing 30+ sailors and injuring another 170.

That's because we don't boast about it to the extent of getting caught. But never fear, we are here.

You don't have any real friends or allies. You have some interested parties which can be bought or bribed, vested interests are everything.

I would say Amerika is incapable of having allies at all, simply b/c Amerika as a nation in terms of its foreign policy is completely untrustworthy and as likely to stab someone in the back as honor a commitment.

Our State Dept. and foreign policy have been completely dominated by the CFR going back to its inception in 1921... as Admiral Chester Ward said, "... our disasterous foreign policy has been intended to be disasterous" - just ask Chiang Kai-Shek. With friends like the U.S., who needs the communists??

We destablize a region, usually arm both sides, give the green light to play war, and start filling body bags - it's great fun!! While I would argue that the rest of the world is severely screwed up, there is good reason for the people of other countries to hate Amerika... afterall, a good many of the worlds problems are created by the U.S., including communism (going back decades - the bankers).

It's all very nasty business... suffice it say, that our State Dept is a den of thieves and traitors.

You can't be serious about Canada being an ally. They have spies everywhere down here. I run into them all the time. They dress like us to to blend in and attend intensive language training from early childhood to learn to to speak like we do. Although they still occasionally slip up with a "ey der" once in awhile.

One of the first things that an army does before invading another territory is to amass along the border.......where the hell do you think most Canadians live? They live right across the border.

Do not buy the myth of the friendly Canadian that they are trying to spread, it is nothing more than propaganda. One day people are going to wake up to breaking news about dozens possibly hundreds of Mounties galloping across the border to take our country from us. Then you will see that I was right all along........but it will be too late. :hiding:

Israel is the only country that doesn't hate us. As far as I'm concerned, the rest of the world can eat a dick. The only two good countries on the entire globe are the United States and Israel. Everyone else is backwards, wrong, and not worth saving.

Of course its always the US. Israel just has to order them what to do and when to do.

Add to that Netanyahu being on video record as stating America to be an easily manipulated pushover; the Israelis selling US military secrets to China, spying on America. Yep, "with friends like these etc, etc."
Frankly I'd be embarrassed to be thought of having any relationship whatsoever with the duplicitous scum in the Israeli government.

    I'd say England.

I know that a lot of English people that despise America, but I'm confident that If someone tried to attack our shores that England would be the first country to mobilize their troops to support us. That is what I would consider in id'ing an ally. I think Canada might sit back for a little bit and survey the situation before coming down to help.

America's best friend? I'd say any large speeding meteor that's on a collision course with Washington DC

Canada almost always backs us up in a big war. The fact they didn't want to join the Coalition for the Iraq War should have been a big flashing stop sign for us.

The English people despise the American people and the American people don't think much of the English. Mutual hatred doesn't fit my criteria for friendship.

We have a genuine relationship with the Canadians. Not a make believe one that is represented by just a few politicians.
    The English aren't even close.

Maybe you should actually drive up to Canada and see what the difference is.

Well yeah, it is Canada, but Israel is still *a* friend and ally, and one of our closest ones. It's really more a matter of strategic/ideological goals. They're a western democracy in the middle east, and despite it's ills we want western democracies to succeed. Canada's greatest danger is probably ice.

I'd list all the times Israel has stabbed us in the back but I'm sure you would just ignore it and carry on with what's easiest for you to say and pretend to believe.
After all, if you suddenly realized Israel was in fact not a genuine friend or ally, and would betray us at the drop of a dime if a better `protector` came along, it would make listening to the Sean Hannity show every day not as enjoyable, and I wouldn't want to put you through the horrors of that.

You asked who is our greatest ally, not what country do our people have the most friendly relationship with their people. I was clear that my selection was based on military support and who would be the first country to enter battle with us. If you don't like my answer that is fine, but isn't this an opinion question?

I've enjoyed all of my trips to Canada and the people are very nice. Thanks for the invite back.

It doesn't surprise me, given our view of the world and our foreign policy, that Americans don't understand what a true friend and ally actually looks like.

I love Canada and their people. A true and great friend to the US. What exactly gave you the idea that I didn't feel that way?
