The military defines "weapons of mass destruction as nukes, chemical weapons, biological weapons, and radiological weapons. I agree. I don't know of any reputable source that label any individual gun as a "weapon of mass destruction".
So... "appendectomy" means something different to someone who is not a doctor? "Last Will and Testament" means something different to someone who is not a lawyer? "Medium rare" means something different to someone who is not a chef? Sorry... WMD is defined in and by the military. You can call a Ford a Chevrolet if you wish, but it doesn't make it so.
Only works if it is a clear and present danger 80% of rapes are by someone known to the victim. Unlikely they will have a gun trained on that person
Actually they do apply, it is the military that decides what weapons are suitable for military use not the other way around. You really do not understand the subject other than what you have gleaned from the anit-gunners at Everytown.
So you can just make up your own definition? What counts as a "weapon of mass destruction" in your mind?
In the UK, 9 year olds have held shot gun licences. I imagine because they live on farms or country estate.
In Iraq I aimed center mass and hit the terrorist in the hand. He ran away into a building and we didn't see him again. That was good enough for me.
No licenses or permits of any sort are required here in Texas to own a gun... but you have to show proof of being at least 18 to buy a long gun and 21 to buy a handgun. That works for me.
I agree. I think everyone should be entitled to the tools necessary for self defense. However I do think violent criminals should not have them. That’s my only okay as far as restrictions
What kind of gun? Age is irrelevant. What's relevant is state of mind, meaning maturity. When someone reaches a certain age, there's no magic wand that automatically makes them mature and responsible. That is something that is learned. There's no reason why a 10-year old who is trained in fire-arm safety and acts responsibly cannot wield a rifle or shotgun for hunting or sporting purposes. I don't see a demonstrated need for them to use a hand-gun.
Wrong. They were always violent, but people just ignored it. Yeah, that's right...even before they got to Kindergarten they displayed aggressive tendencies or were out-right aggressive and violent.
