That is just your assertion that is very subjective. In any case I voted Obama only for the fact that he actually won re-election and I do not question the judgement of the voters of the United States or their elector middle men.

Kind of reminds me of choosing between a black mamba or tiger snake bite.

It is subjective, that is for sure. But I am far from the 1st person to think Carter and Obama were the worst President's ever. Cartoons and articles have been written about over the years. I just happen to share that opinion and wondered who people thought was the better of the two.

Thanks for voting and for sharing your opinion.

Carter in the lead: 10-3 as the better President.

Neither are worst presidents, Jimmy Carter was a nice guy who wasn't up to fighting the Cold War. Obama was a nice guy who was probably lucky GW had done all the heavy lifting.

Obama could have been good on foreign policy, by doing the exact opposite of bush, but he didn’t.

Please don't forget to vote and state why or why not you voted for said person.

Or, make sure you vote and keep it personal to yourself if you decide you don't want to share. Either way, please vote! :)

I agree. Picking Hillary Clinton as Secretary Of State was a bad move. Other than that, he had a fairly successful two terms. The economy was in a tailspin when he took over and he tried to stop the bleeding both literally and financially started by the Cheney/Bush neoScum. I think that he will be well regarded in the future.

Honestly, he will be known as bush lite on foreign policy, and lame duck domestically. But, that’s just my assessment. You’re right about Clinton thought, the best thing he could have done was distance himself as far away as possible from her, and her influence.
I was apathetic towards Obama when he became president, because I felt emotionally exhausted after eight years of bush. But, in the end Obama turned out to be the same old, same old.

Under Obama, the body count went down a lot and the economy went up a lot...The numbers don’t lie. But I agree that he could have turned around our foreign policy much more. So far Trump has not started any idiotic conflicts and has said he wants to get our guys out of the turd fest started by the Cheney/Bush gang. If he gets us out of Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq and tones down the rhetoric against Iran like he did with North Korea before the next election, it could help him win again.

President Jimmy Carter for all of his many, many, many flaws did not attempt to
derail the administration of President Ronald Reagan in anything like the manner in which
President Obama attempted to set up the destruction of the President Trump administration.

Carter was a better president. He at least loved the US. Obozo, clearly by his and his wife's own words did not like America.

Not a tough call at all. Carter was the president that did not get us into another war.

My vote is for Carter, he was a Navy man. He also got the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize for his accomplishments.

Obama didn't do crap other than being a community organizer in Chicago, and his Nobel Peace Prize was a joke.

I am not assessing what either did before or after their presidencies. They both had successes and failures. But the decisive difference for me was Obama was a shrewder politician and a better campaigner. He retained his office and thus was able to put more of justices on the federal bench, and provide some consistent judicial pressure that outlasted his term. Carter did not have a chance.

On the other hand, Carter's losses in the midterms of 1978 were more modest with the loss of 15 seats in the House and 3 in the Senate. He retained Democratic majorities in both bodies and that was the last time that has happened in a Democratic administration. But Carter could not really capitalize and did not even get his SALT 2 treaty passed. His popularity began to decline precipitously with the base , and there was no fear factor in crossing him for Dems.

Obama of course was unable to get any legislation passed once the teaparty GOP took control, but he was more effective in using the powers of the executive and his bully pulpit than Carter and he did better at marshalling the Dems in Congress to stand steady when they were the minority. The GOP had virtually no legislative successes themselves either.

So is every President since Millard Fillmore.

I take that back. That's probably not fair to the guy.

Americans Say Barack Obama Was Best President of Their Lifetimes

    http://time.com/5336305/barack-obamas-best-president-survey/

A plurality of Americans named Barack Obama the best president of their lifetimes.

In a survey by the Pew Research Center, 44% named Obama the best or second-best president of their lifetimes, followed by 33% who named Bill Clinton and 32% who named Ronald Reagan.

Respondents mentioned Donald Trump only 19% of the time, putting him in fourth place. Notably, that was roughly equivalent to Obama’s figure at a similar point in his presidency — in a similar survey in 2011, Obama was listed as the first or second choice by 20% of Americans.

In the survey, conducted from June 5 to 12, 2,002 adults were asked in an open-ended question, “Which president has done the best job during your lifetime?” They were asked to name both their first and second choices.

"Millennials widely view Obama as one of the best presidents; more Boomers and Silents name Reagan than other presidents

People’s views of the best president of their lifetimes are partly tied to their ages. Millennials, who are currently ages 22 to 37, are far more likely than older generations to name Obama as one of the best presidents in their lifetimes: About six-in-ten Millennials (62%) view Obama as one of the top two, with nearly half, 46%, naming him the best president.

Older generations are much more likely than Millennials to name Reagan as one of the best presidents. Reagan was president before most Millennials were born."

Carter had good intentions, he just didn't have the skills of implementing them.

Obama was just behind the scenes evil so there is really no comparison.

Carter is also assumed to have been the most intelligent president we've ever had but maybe that was his problem.

    He just couldn't relate.

Both President Carter and President Obama's foreign policies were a complete disaster.

In the endgame Obama has more blood on his hands and the entire Middle East and North Africa are complete basket cases today because of Obama.

Carter never (got caught) spying Germany, journalists and telling outright lies about Libya, nor did he spy on another political campaign. Jimmy Carter was negligent and a bad leader, but Obama actually abused power to the point of criminality. We'll see what Barr does about it.

Carter the better President by far, over Obama in a commanding lead.
