Perry seems to be the next candidate to drop out that has any sort of followers.

Let's assume he drops out soon.

He doesn't seem to support Newt and Romney much at all (from what I could tell from debates).

So, who will Perry end up endorsing?

Or the better question, does anyone want his endorsement? :)

    You decide!

He won't endorse anyone until the Convention, then he'll endorse the winner.

    Excellent question.
All the other religious right candidates will be out after NH, so there won't be anybody left for him to endorse.
It'll be down to Gingrich, Romney, and Paul. Newt doesn't have the money or organization to make the long haul. It'll be the barely-right Republican vs. the libertarian, and neither one will be to his liking.

I'll join perdidochas; he'll just endorse whoever wins.

That's kind of what I was thinking.

He hates Romney. I don't think Newt will make it.

That leaves Paul and Romney... Think there will be any Texas love this time around? I tend to think not. Although, these last few debates, Rick Perry has been looking at Ron Paul with googly eyes. I wonder if he has finally caught the Ron Paul fever?

The better question is which candidate will pick up his support?

I say Paul will because Perry is less establishment than the other two, which translates naturally to Paul and away from the two establishment candidates.

His supporters that are still around will likely flock to whoever he endorses.

If he doesn't, they will go to whoever the MSM is talking about most. Although, I don't think they will go to Romney... No matter what.

    Y'all know I'm a Huntsman supporter.

However, this has nothing to do with it...

I'm almost certain that Perry would like to endorse Huntsman -- they are the best of buds. They've know eachother for years and worked together in the past too.

I suspect that's just because it was a calculated effort to slow Newt's roll. Historically, Perry hasn't been very friendly towards Paul.
I agree that Newt probably doesn't have the gas to last, but I've been wrong before *shrug*...

Well, taking into account his comment, "If at first you don't secede, try try again," I would say he would endorse the pro-child-labor candidate; Newt Gingrich.

Hopefully he doesn't endorse Ron Paul, because that would ruin his chances at presidency. I am FROM texas, and I think Perry is an idiot of a conservative.

Don't get me wrong, I would vote for him 100 times before Obama once. BUT, he is just the other side of the idiot coin. I almost think Bush was better.

I would almost bet money Ron Paul will beat Perry in Texas. I just do not know how blind the rest of Texas is. I have spent my ENTIRE life in Texas, and I am no supporter of Perry. He has done and said some things that I do not at all agree with, like giving illegal aliens cheap/free college tuitions, yet an all-A National Honor Society, Student council native Texan has to pay full price. I understand that he did it to help get these kids away from the bad lifestyle, but I just do not see that as "fair". Especially for a conservative.

Bachmann and Santorum seem the most like Perry politically speaking (neoconservatism/crony capitalism).

However, Gingrich and Perry both take softer stances on immigration, so there is common ground. So who knows? If he wants to go with a frontrunner, he'll go with Romney. Even if Gingrich is more conservative, Perry is clearly not in politics for an ideology, it's for himself. His record as governor and instances of hypocrisy make this clear.

Seeing as Perry can't even form a cohesive sentence, I don't think he's qualified for POTUS.

Stuff like this will always be remembered by the people. There is no way he can win.
