    And does it matter?

It all seems kinda silly to me, but then again... it's politics.

One of Hillary Clinton's guys was just interviewed and reminded how she lost Iowa to Obama... thought he was gonna cry. He bucked up and blurted out how proud he was of her performance as SoS!

Poor Hillary. She tasted that agony of defeat in Iowa. Wonder who'll taste it tonight?

Not really. It doesn't 'prove' anything... just an interesting tradition.

If Paul wins, I suppose his supporters will go nuts. We'll be forced to listen to 'em sing Hail To The Chief everyday until the GOP primary. :omg:

Santorum 26% Ron Paul 23% Mitt Romney 18%

    49 outta 1774 precincts reporting

Hopefully Paul. Would be nice to see Paul further direct the GOP towards true conservatism.

In this race I don't think it matters at all. We have seen the leader du jour change again and again.

Iowa, contrary to popular belief is not a harbinger in any way, in fact if I am not mistaken, the winner in Iowa rarely goes on to win the prize. And correct me if I'm wrong it has been a long, long time, if ever when the Iowa winner became president.

It depends if you consider 3 years to be a long, long time.

Paul is in third right now, but Story County (which has the University of Iowa) is not reporting. Paul took Johnson County (which has Iowa State University) with 37% of the vote.

Colleges turn out for Ron Paul and the biggest college county has yet to be counted. I'm still pretty confident that Ron Paul will win Iowa, though I was wrong about Perry overtaking Gingrich for fourth.

    I really don't care.The whole thing has been corrupted/comprimised.
Mitt Romney who decided to not spent much if any time in the state
but did have the Moola to use PAC Ads to destroy {take out} a
    formidable candidate { Newt }.
The Iowa Caucus has been corrupted.I think it has no bearing
on anything.Basically a White Cracker Freak show.
Bunch of silly Hayseeds who can't make up their minds.
Worse than Dorothy's relatives back in Kansas in - Wizard of Oz -.
I can't cotton backwater types who have such a hard time deciding
    who to pick.
No wonder McCain placed 4th.And Pat Robertson 1st.

I was pretty sure Huckabee won.

Either way, it would suck if we were left to choose between Santorum or Romney due to Iowa.

Perry is saying now that he's going back to Texas to reflect on whether there's a path going forward for him. Kind of sounds like he may be dropping out.

Romney by 8 votes over Santorum. Close race.

The Obama machine has hundreds of campaign workers in Iowa, cranking up his own dog & pony show. If the Republican Caucus was meaningless, just think what a waste of time & money a Democrat Caucus will be!
