Speaking to millennials, Buzz Feed was founded for millennials who believe everything on the internet.

    with some factual editing...

Founded in 2006 and headquartered in New York, Buzzfeed is a media news company delivering social news and entertainment. They provide a mix of breaking fake news, entertainment and shareable content. Jonah Peretti and John Johnson are the founders of Buzzfeed and the editor-in-chief is Ben Smith. In 2016, BuzzFeed split the Fake News operation off from the BuzzFeed Entertainment Group, which aims to focus more on BuzzFeed’s video unit. The Buzzfeed brands are Tasty, Nifty, Goodful and more.

BuzzFeed has an infatuation with urine aka pee.

    Analysis / Bias

BuzzFeed often publishes “Listicles” with images or GIFs and short content with links such as “100 Pictures That’ll Make You Pee Yourself Laughing” or “42 Cat GIFs Guaranteed To Make You Laugh Every Time”. They also publish viral videos, as well as political news on their news website.

In review of their reporting of fake news stories, Buzzfeed utilizes emotionally loaded language in their headlines “Trump Excluded Democrats From A Lunch Meeting On The Shutdown” and “The US Envoy On ISIS, Brett McGurk, Quit In Protest Over Trump’s Withdrawal From Syria”. however they also utilize credible sources such as the Des Moines Register and Associated Press. When it comes to sourcing they typically source to themselves.

Further, BuzzFeed does not clearly label opinion pieces, which makes it difficulty to tell the difference between straight news content and editorials. In general, most Buzzfeed stories favor the left.

In January 2017, Buzzfeed published the Steele Dossier about alleged Russia collusion, which caused President Donald Trump to criticize them by saying Buzzfeed is a ‘failing pile of garbage’. In December 2018, according to Politico, “The libel case over the dossier it published before Trump took office gets tossed.”

A factual search reveals that Buzzfeed has failed two fact checks that can be seen here and here.

Overall, we rate Buzzfeed Loony Left-Center Biased due to story selection that tends to favor the left and Mixed for factual reporting based on poor sourcing and a few failed fact checks. (6/30/2016) Updated (M. Huitsing 12/23/18)

Who uses BuzzFeed as a news source ?
CNN, MSNBC, Democratic National Committee and the resistance and the obstructionist in Congress.

Buzzfeed is an excellent example of how NYT v Sullivan type press protections should -not- apply to entertainment companies who also do news. A more enlightened SCOTUS of the future, possibly the -near- future, will find that being "media" doesn't instantly grant the First Amendment press protections. Time for the "actual malice" defamation standard to GO for media companies at large.

Hilarious, coming from someone who believes everything an inveterate liar like Trump says.

Once again, ‘fake news’ decried by Trump turns out to be true

'But there have been a number of instances in which the president or his surrogates have flatly denied something — only to have that denial contradicted weeks or months later by new documents or statements. Often, by then the media coverage has moved on to a new controversy."

We don't have to pay any attention to Trump, as Mueller pointed out this was fake news.

I hit the WaPo paywall so I can't confirm or not if you linked to another fake news story.

It had to do with the lie Don told saying he knew nothing about the hush money payments Cohen made on his behalf. It's one of many instances when Don cried "fake news" when the story was accurate.

You should be ASHAMED of yourself for quoting the Southern Poverty Law Center. It's one of the most corrupt political organizations in the country.

The text of the Washington Times article above is true, and you keep falling into that trap of believing "this is true, but" . . . which is just an argument to sway the people.

Atwater, you wouldn't know a lie from the truth if it smacked you in the face.

We know from Trump's defense attorney, Rudy Giuliani, that negotiations over the Moscow Trump Tower continued on into November 2016, not January 2016. Trump claimed the negotiations ended in January 2016.

"According to the answer that he gave, it would have covered all the way up to November of 2016," Giuliani said on ABC's "This Week," apparently referring to Trump's written answers to special counsel Robert Mueller regarding the deal. This means that during the entire election campaign, Trump had a stake in the Russian government.

This is why Trump would want Cohen to lie.

And we know this from The Hill article from December. "Cohen last month pleaded guilty to lying to Congress about plans to build a Trump property in Moscow, plans he initially said were scrapped in January 2016, but actually continued well into the presidential campaign according to his confession." As into November 2016, the entire campaign.

Are we to believe Cohen lied on his own? Trump would not want voters to know he was negotiating a hotel in Moscow while running for President. We are to believe he said nothing about this to his personal lawyer who was about to testify before Congress? That is a bit of a stretch, isn't it?

    https://thehill.com/homenews/sunday...-trump-tower-moscow-discussions-took-place-up

Paul Farhi in an Op/Ed in the the Washington Post said this morning, "The fact that the normally buttoned-up special counsel’s office felt compelled to issue a statement suggests that the story’s conclusions were too baldly stated and too consequential to stay unchallenged. In effect, Mueller’s office seemed to be saying that BuzzFeed went too far and got some things wrong, though it did not say how or what."

We know that Mueller does not leak, and this came from "two federal law enforcement officials involved in an investigation of the matter." That has to carry some validity. Some observers think Mueller is feeling deeply proprietary about his evidence and does not want premature disclosure of interviews with multiple witnesses from the Trump Organization, internal company emails, text messages, and a cache of other documents.

That would explain why Mueller could not explain how or what BussFeed got wrong.

It should be noted that Mueller did not deny the accusation that Trump asked Cohen to lie. He said, "BuzzFeed’s description of specific statements to the special counsel’s office, and characterization of documents and testimony obtained by this office, regarding Michael Cohen’s congressional testimony are not accurate."

In other words, Mueller was solely concerned about his evidence.

So, I got it right, didn't I. After reading my post you were only concerned about my appetite. You said nothing in defense of your hero.
