"Who's gonna pay for Medicare for all?" is either stupid or disingenuous

So perhaps the answer is to eliminate the insurance carriers and go back to paying cash (or in some cases, livestock or produce, or service barter) and eliminate all the up charges and administrative costs. You know, that personal independence thing.

That is correct. See my response post #5526. Yet you support the idea of turning it all over to the government, and you think all that will go away?

Medicare does the same **** ana it is very difficult to get claims approved and processed
When we're all paying the same amount of tax you can talk about fair distribution of gov resources.

That's why you should be paying for well care out of pocket.

Yet you can not easily discuss the part that establishes causation between longevity and single payer. Wonder why that is?

Huh? Where are you getting lost? The data shows every other country with single payer gets better care and pays less for it than we do.

    What does better mean?
    What's included in the cost?

So you can easily show the part where causation is established.

So far every state that proposes single payer healthcare has found that it would have to more than double taxes and end up dropping the proposals.

How anyone thinks that doubling taxes is a good thing is beyond belief.

Where are you getting lost. What do you think it means, when single payer countries provide better care for a fraction of the price of our system?

Because it’s considerably cheaper than paying for private insurance.

Horse hockey. The current proposals would require doubling Federal revenues. Only the working class and businesses would pay and guess what, that would kill an awfully large amount of jobs. It would make automation even more important. The result would be devastating for the working class.

Actually working class will be paying less because they do not have to pay money for the expensive private insurance. That is what this whole topic is about.

Every first world country with single payer, gets better care and lays a fraction of what we do. There is no reason we can’t do the same as every other first world country.

Taxes would have to increase, but we wouldn’t have to pay insurance premiums so we would save A LOT.

Yea, but Medicare is less expensive and it is guaranteed and still their overhead is several times less then private insurance.
The progressive tax is a cornerstone of democracy, but taxes are distributed equally, that is whole point of the taxes.
If you want to live under feudalism, you live in the wrong country.

Same is true with ferraris. The poor have to drive clunkers, or take the bus. Rich people drive ferraris.

So what? Don't want to take the bus? Then stop being a social good-for-nothing and become valuable enough to society so that Enzo himself rises up out of his grave just to make sure that you can have a decent ride.

or take the damn bus, and be happy because we all know if left to the poor's own devices, public transportation would be out of financial reach.

He can't because he doesn't understand the difference between correlation and causation, although I am sure he's Googling it as soon as he sees this post.

Maybe you can explain why every other country with single payer gets better care than we do, and pays a fraction of what we do?

Awww...it's ok, but that won't save face either.

Even though you looked foolish it's nothing that any other person hasn't gone through.

But really, you can stop trying so hard.

It is good that you admit taxes are coerced though! Congratulations!
