....or....you mean there are other credible guitarists worth mentioning?? I find this hard to believe.

My good friend Robin Sylar(RIP), on Slide Guitar with Doyle Bramhall(RIP), On Vocals And Drums, and Mike Judge on Bass.

Singing reminds me of Steve Ray. Good playing.

Stevie and Doyle were good friends. A lot of folks down here in Texas say that SRV lifted his singing style from Big D.

Austin, I have spent a good amount of time in Plano whilst playing bass w/Anson Funderburgh.

That's great! But I never would have caught your show(s) because I became something of a homebody after moving to Plano. I don't even know of any blues venues in Plano. Do you recall the names?

Doyle B. I am sure I heard in Austin back in the 70s. There was some club I can't remember where the Austin All Stars (a motley, if great crew) showed up routinely to play.

A fine choice. The first album I bought with my own money was All the World's A Stage. To this day it's still one of my favorite albums...

That is a great album. Saw them in concert 4 times over the years. They top my all time favorite band list.

Impossible to choose. Living or passed? Blues, rock, classical, jazz, country?

I have favorites for all. A big list, actually.

Passed: BB King, Jimi Hendrix, Prince, Johnny Winter, Eddie Van Halen

Living: Eric Clapton, KWS, Derek Trucks, Joe Bonamassa, Jonny Lang, Vince Gill

Many others. Joe Satriani, Mark Knopfler, The Edge, Slash. Too many to list.

Velvet Revolver was a great mesh between Guns n Roses and Stone Temple Pilots. Too bad Weiland couldn't handle life.

Hell yeah. Here I have Mr. Slash on steroids:

(And Mr. Weiland on lots and lots of drugs. Sad. But what a ****in' jam.)
