    Not really. Look at Obama's presidency for example - not much difference. Look also at the difference between Carter and Reagan, there was in fact hardly any difference, except a slightly different economic application and hightened military policy.

    No what you are suggesting is to move away from reality to stupid rhetorical one liners. As I said, modern conservatives are not much different from modern liberals - they are both statists, through and through.

    Women were taught(and still are) to repress their sexual impulses and to choose their partners based on society's ideas of what a husband/boyfriend should be. This was evolutionarily beneficial because the costs incurred on a woman in the process of bearing and raising a child are much higher than on a man(this goes all the way back to the microbial invention of sexual reproduction), and so the tribe was better off if women were more selective about who they slept with. This lead to submissive attitudes in women being highly valued because they were easier to oppress when it came to sexual choice.

    Now fast-forward thousands of years of human history. We aren't allowed to club our women over the head and take them out back for a quick shag anymore, so men are much more desperate to get laid. They have started to try and appease women, which leads to them developing submissive(read: feminine) characteristics. Also, the expansion of government power doesn't help one bit.

    I dunno...women live longer so the 'cost' must not be that high. Besides submissive women are also passive aggressive. "Not tonight honey, I have a headache".....for example.

    I do agree though that men will do anything to get laid. Even act wussie if needed. We men are fairly simple creatures really. Good sex, good food...we be happy. :date:
