yeah some are definitely hilarious...sometimes the fault of the client, the artist or both ...

always research the quality and reputation of the artist first...good artists always get the client to carefully check the artwork twice, once on paper the 2nd when the stencil is applied to the body before they proceed...

at least a good tattoo artist can usually cover up someone else's mistakes for less money than a laser removal...

Japanese full body tattoo artists are at the top of their game...south pacific traditional tribal tattoos for symmetry...and there some spectacular portrait artists doing stunning work...I don't know how they get the confidence to work on someone elses skin, I couldn't do it...the best artists have long waiting lists and command high prices, well worth it if someone going to permanently mark their skin, do it right the first time...

They're such individuals that they have to follow trends?

it's art, you don't need to belong to tribe to love art...at the same time I agree with you, that's not me either...I love Polynesian tribal art, but I could never get one because as much as I liked it I wasn't Polynesian, but I don't hold others to my standards....

but then I did took a DNA test and got the surprise of my life, no one in my family not even my father knew my grandmothers background(neither did she), she grew up in an orphanage... among all my northern european DNA was a slice Melanesian DNA, Granma's people were from the south Pacific!...I felt entitled to the pacific tribal tattoo I carry in honor of my grandmothers people...

When you realize how useless a sedan is compared to a pickup you got to start using one.

Polynesian tribal tattoo...every part has meaning to the wearer, traditionally the artist who knows the clients personal and family history will apply it and can add to it as the owners life experiences change/grow...

I only wear nylon pants April to November, the kind you can unzip the legs at the knees and remove when it's real hot, even to church. Nobody else I know of does that. Never wear jeans ever, even in winter, will wear cotton but never denim. Always carry two knives, one on a neck lanyard for a last resort, usually I'm packing.

Everybody comes in as a blank slate and is written upon by external forces and is unfree in some way. Conformity enters under the threshold.

I got mine to cover a scar from my teens. Lesson learned:

    OP...dunno. They are ugly.

Women are defacing their beauty and not improving on it. I think most people just follow trends to try and be cool and are kinda dum. The women look like they got skin disease with all that ink. Just disguising.

If that is not enuf they got all sport of piercings, they pierce their privates, pierce their nose. The ones with rings in their noses look like they are barnyard animals.

That hats were designed to shade the eyes particularly while playing baseball. I have at times found it necessary to turn mine around to facillitate a head lamp when working in dark places, however I am very quick to turn it back right before anyone sees me. I never ever want to be associated with those "pants on the ground types", or white gang banger wanna bees!

IMHO it enhances the facade of physical appearance but diminishes the idea of inner beauty and self worth.

It took me a while to grasp what you meant by saying that the wearer's hat bill could "get in the way of doing things". That was great... and probably even more accurate than I realize.... I tried to find an image to accompany this post illustrating this concept, but all of them were WAY too pornographic to be posted in this Forum.... :eyepopping:
