i disagree because Christian and Jewish religions are peaceful, but muslims can be radicalised into horror.

I didn't hear him say as much, meaning that no other religion is violent. But run with what tickles your Feels.

 

More mass shooting are due to more population, thus more nuts. Then there is the societal disregard for life -- shoot 'em up video games, shoot 'em up movies, mothers killing babies as they are about to be born, lack of punishment to children who misbehave in the home and school. All you have to do is go back 50 years to see what has changed in our country. We have always had guns so guns are a non-subject.

 

I think we have more mass shootings simply because of social media. Many of these killers crave fame, distinction, notoriety in their lives. The combination of mass murder and social media affords them that even if just briefly. I think it if people put an end to announcing their names when they commit murders and publishing their "manifestos" that eventually the rates of mass shootings would decline.

Look at pop density tho. Less rural, more urban. Canada has 1/10 of our shooting per capita and 1/10 of our pop density. The correlation deserves more attention than it has received.

Probably, but in my experience they 'sprawl' better (less ppl per area) on average.

 

How simple minded to blame decline of Christian faith and fatherless households as reasons. I believe the US has a much smaller percentage of atheists and non-religious than many other countries such as China, Sweden, Czech Republic and UK to name a few. Yet we have more mass shootings per capita than any of those countries. How is that possible? Shouldn’t those countries have all sorts of mass shootings with all these non Christians running around?

If fatherless households is a main reason (list #2) then why doesn’t Denmark, UK. Lithuania, Latvia have as many per capita mass shootings as the US?

 

I always find it funny when the OP in a thread within the Political Opinion Forum is linked to a YouTube video with some other person’s opinion. Is the OP that incapable of thinking for themselves that they have to resort to posting others’ YouTube videos to get their “opinion” voiced?
