Oh you couldn't be more correct. If they look back at posts in the past, the will see which side the majority of the animosity comes from. This is partly what I mean when I refer to emotion vs facts.

I see the least reasonable in this forum are those who think because certain gun control laws are in this certain society, and crime is low---then these gun control laws must work everywhere.

 

And yet you try to reason with them. Why?

Since this is your argument, it is your obligation to demonstrate the evidence that shows your assertion is indeed correct. Show the evidence that proves conclusively, beyond reasonable doubt, that islamic extremists kill fewer people than white individuals who legally own at least two firearms.

If someone is deemed to be mentally ill through invalid channels, without due process, then the prohibition is unjustified in their case and should indeed be addressed.

 

I read comment here curious if anyone can actually make a logical argument for gun control that would not remove RTKB from the law abiding while removing guns from criminals. I have yet to see one from any source.

Leaving the law abiding defenseless.

It is impossible for agents of the Government to protect it's people. Our system is designed to punish criminals after the fact... ostensibly, both as a penalty and a deterrent, but history shows even the death penalty doesn't deter crime. A defenseless population opens that population to the statistical probability of being a victim based on the number of predators.

Remove guns from criminals, obviating the need for armed police and even a secret service would result in few people wanting guns for self defense, but it won't happen.
