Well according to Republicans, she basically raped the guy. They false claimed, for weeks, that she was sleeping with multiple staffers and interns and threatening to fire them if they didn't. Im pretty sure that at least part of her resignation was because she didn't want to deal with the BS that came with trying to defend herself against those lies.

 

I don't know what did or did not occur. Honestly...my guess is that the truth is somewhere in the middle.

I think that should read “Why Aren’t Women’s Groups Giving Us Cheap Copy?”.

Let’s be clear, this kind of article is about attacking someone (anyone!) because that makes “good” (from a commercial point of view) material. It’s easier to attack people when they make lots of public statements that can be picked apart, misinterpreted and spun to generate dramatic headlines so when anyone avoids that game, the story has to be how they’re not talking about an issue.

No, she’s being hounded out of office for her politics, just like any other politician (of any party) who falls foul of petty offences. Her sex life is the convenient tool that is being used for that purpose.

 

She was having an affair with one of her staffers. That is what happened, and she resigned after weeks of false accussations that she was forcing her entire staff to sleep with her and threatening to fire them if they refused. (funny that Republicans seem to only have an issue with infidelity when a democrat does it.....Half o of the GOP are known to cheat on their spouses ).

 

Hill wasn't removed, wasn't recalled, wasn't convicted of anything. She resigned of her own volition. Based on past scandals with other politicians she could have successfully weathered the scandal and continued to hold office. She chose not to. That means her circumstance isn't comparable to Clinton, Trump or any other politician that chose to react differently to the scandals that they have been a part of.
