From the article located at the following link.
    http://nbcpolitics.nbcnews.com/_new...er-offers-tax-talks-but-outline-is-vague?lite

"Almost two-thirds of voters, according to national exit polls, said “no” when asked whether taxes should be raised to help cut the budget deficit. But 47 percent of voters, a plurality, said that taxes should increase only on those earning more than $250,000 – a centerpiece of Obama’s re-election campaign on which Obama stumped this fall."

A plurality?? What's with the word games??

    plu·ral·i·ty
    Noun:
The fact or state of being plural.
A large number of people or things.

47% is NOT a majority nor a mandate. 66% say NO to raising taxes to help the deficit and only 47%. LESS THAN HALF, say taxes should increase only on those earning more than $250,000. So 53% said something else yet MSDNC tries to make it appear that most people support this??

The major news networks/sites have become propaganda outlets. Nothing more, nothing less.

Sadly for those who ate their books in english instead of learning the language, words MEAN things. There are agreed common definitions of a word that we use for common understanding.

"Plurality" means "LOTS" of people, but NOT a majority, or they would have said "majority".

The usage of the word in this case is EXACTLY correct and TRUE.

English! Try it, you might like it1

Yep, right on cue, here's a lib trying to defend the obvious propoganda.

Yes, and English, when referring to the language, is capitalized Maybe you should barf up your English book and give it a read.

Yes, I noted that in my post. Perhaps in your frothy-mouthed haste to defend MSDNC you missed it. And, funny, they didn't point out that it was not a majority. Yet they were clearly trying to imply that it was. Why do you think they worded it that way.

Please show me where I said the usage was incorrect.

By the same token, Romney won a plurality of the electoral and popular vote. Doesn't really reflect reality though, does it?

As soon as the Government controls the massive waste, fraud and abuse that takes place then we can talk about raising taxes. If a person hired a contractor to build a patio deck and the contractor went to a casino and lost the money to finish the deck in a craps game, would anyone give him more money to finish the deck?
