Why did trump lose?

Discussion in 'Elections & Campaigns' started by Natty Bumpo, Mar 20, 2021.

?

Why did Trump lose?

  1. 7 million more Americans preferred his opponent, giving him 306 electoral votes.

    92.0%
  2. GOP governors, attorneys general, secretaries of state, judges, etc. colluded in a vast conspiracy.

    8.0%
  3. His goons who attacked Congress were poorly disciplined and incompetent.

    8.0%
  4. The goons' failure to lynch Pence was the ultimate determinant.

    4.0%
Multiple votes are allowed.

I'm sure Obama would have blamed the virus on some internet video.

So why all the testing, vaccines, ventilators and hospital beds? Who did that?

Over 200 million Covid test by year's end. 3 million vaccines delivered and 2 million tested by year's end.

Many experts thought it was impossible to have a safe effective vaccine in 2020.

    Trump incompetent? Really?

    https://trumpwhitehouse.archives.gov/trump-administration-accomplishments/

He said he would move our embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. Then did it.

He facilitated peace deals between Arab countries and Israel. Deals in which the Arab country acknowledge Israel's sovereignty and will begin diplomatic relations with Israel. This got a Nobel prize nomination for both Trump and Jared Kushner.

Passed a tax plan that included a desperately needed cut in corporate tax rates.

    Promoted Keystone pipeline.
    https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/trump-administration-approves-keystone-pipeline-on-u-s-land

Built 438 miles of wall on the Mexican border.

Worked out deals with Central American countries so people can apply for asylum while still in their own country.

    Initiated reforms in the VA.
    https://www.military.com/daily-news...rump-administrations-mission-act-reforms.html

Initiated the right to try where terminally ill people can have access to drugs not yet FDA approved.
    https://thehill.com/policy/healthca...right-to-try-bill-for-terminally-ill-patients

Worked to lower the price of prescription medications.
    https://www.hhs.gov/about/news/2020...toric-action-lower-drug-prices-americans.html

Initiated opportunity zones for real property investment in poor neighborhoods.
    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...nes-raised-75b-to-rebuild-poorest-communities

Initiated almost $100M in funding for black colleges.

He did all that in one term while the media did everything in their power to destroy him and his family. Incompetent? Bullcrap!

    How Trump lost is obvious.

The American electorate assigned seven million more votes to the new guy than to the former guy, resulting in the new guy's winning in what the former guy had described as a "landslide!" - 306 electoral votes.

Because he showed his incompetence at dealing with it?

Actually it was a GOLDEN opportunity to shine - he had a playbook worked out from previous pandemic threats - he had reserves that he could have touted as not being the best but then organised the to be best - instead he

    trump wanted to reduce testing
The vaccines were developed by other nations
Upon Biden’s inauguration the US was 4th in rollout which is impressive seeing the previous failings

    Wow how ignorant.

Moderna is a US company. Vaccine approved Dec 18th.
Pfizer is a US company. Vaccine approved Dec 11th. On Dec 23rd Pfizer agreed to supply 100 million doses.

    It is rather simple.

Trump made the entire election Trump vs Not-Trump. Biden was very happy to let this happen and just stayed out of the spot light.

Turns out more people disliked Trump than liked him, by a wide margin.

Dont talk so bad about yourself, everyone makes mistakes. Also note, I said “developed by other nations”, so you can and reading comprehension to ignorant as well.

Germany funded the development of Pfizer’s COVID vaccine—not U.S.’s Operation Warp Speed
    https://fortune.com/2020/11/09/pfizer-vaccine-funding-warp-speed-germany/

Moderna vaccine trial's results bode well for Oxford/AstraZeneca jab
    https://www.theguardian.com/society...tiveness-bodes-well-for-oxfordastrazeneca-jab

The US just bought the vaccine, we didn’t develop it.

You do realize that Biden's inauguration was the day that he became President and would not have affect the rollout of the vaccine at all right? While trying to give Biden credit, you actually gave Trump credit.

And no, Trump did not want to reduce testing.

Then you didn't actually have to explain it in your previous post huh?

Face it, your rebuttal to my original post sucked.

I admire your willingness to try to engage on this topic. I don't bother with people who are so caught up in their hate that they can't even admit things that are provably factual. They aren't worth the effort. Let them twist in their own hate.

Yes, I gave trump credit for us being 4th on vaccinations. That is literally what I said.

Did trump say “I said to my people, 'Slow the testing down please,”?

Trump asked for fewer Covid-19 tests. Now the CDC is recommending less testing.

Cases are going up in the U.S. because we are testing far more than any other country, and ever expanding. With smaller testing we would show fewer cases!

Actually, if these shills could ever admit the truth, they'd understand that even WITH a world-clobbering bio-weapon, they still had to resort to mass cheating to get rid of him. Truth be told, they are still panicking about the possibility of him coming back and defeating them. If they weren't, they'd simply move on. The charges and trials and slanders will continue until he is either dead, incarcerated or his polling finally bottoms out. They are cowards and they know that they have to use the next 4 years to inflict the maximum damage on America just in case too many of us decide to ignore their propaganda outlets and think for ourselves. Not that any of them here would ever admit it but this chaos isn't even ABOUT the Bad Orange Man. It would be the same for any outsider who managed to piss in their Wheaties as effectively as

The way your post came across is that you were talking about Biden having been the reason that we were at 4th place. Not this. Miscommunication.

I despised trump but he did some things right.
The people he hired to run many of these programs and his mouth were his biggest downfalls most of his actual “policy” (besides environmental) were actually good until they got implemented by his cronies.
